4 days in the "Berry village". New Year's Eve in Karelia

After breakfast at the complex's restaurant, you will participate in a master class on making Christmas Tree toys.

Under the guidance of the master, you will make a Karelian amulet with your own hands for yourself or as a gift to a loved one, which will protect you from evil, bring good luck, health and well-being in the coming New Year.

During the day, you will have free time to walk around the island or the mainland, rent skis, snowshoes and other equipment for active pastime (for an additional fee) or relax in the rooms.

Then you will go to the Ruskeala Mountain Park.

Here you will find an exciting snowmobile route through the surrounding area (double occupancy on a snowmobile, category B license is required for drivers).

Before the start, you will receive a safety briefing and pick up snowmobile equipment.

The route of average difficulty takes about 2 hours. It is advisable for drivers to have experience driving a snowmobile or ATV in off-road conditions.

At the end of the snowmobile route, you will walk through the park illuminated by colorful lights during a guided ground tour.

The Ruskeala marble quarry is a monument of cultural heritage of Russia (for an additional fee it is possible to visit the underground part of the canyon). Development here began in 1765.

The walls of the famous St. Isaac's Cathedral, Ladozhskaya and Primorskaya metro stations in St. Petersburg are decorated with Ruskeal marble.

The quarry is a huge system of underground tunnels and tunnels connected by vertical shafts. Most of them were flooded after the Great Patriotic War, and the quarry turned into an amazingly beautiful lake with turquoise-tinged water, the transparency of which reaches 15-18 meters.

After returning to the base, you will have a small light dinner.

Before the start of the evening festive program, you will have free time to relax a little, change your clothes and get ready for the New Year!

At 22:30 we are going to the restaurant for a banquet at a festive table.

An entertaining animation program, a meeting with Santa Claus, and a New Year's Eve party are waiting for you.

The restaurant will close at 03:00.

In the morning, immediately after breakfast, a master class on making wickets, traditional Karelian pastries, will be organized.

The keeper of Karelian traditions will share the secrets of dough preparation and proper molding, as well as tell you about the main ingredient of a successful wicket: various filling options.

You will try to prepare the gates yourself, and already during a picnic lunch by the campfire (depends on weather conditions) You can try them!

Then you will participate in a music workshop.: you will learn the history of musical instruments, as well as play them.

Depending on the weather, a music workshop will be held around a campfire or in a restaurant.

After a short rest, we invite you to join us in the restaurant to sing your favorite karaoke songs together before dinner.

Dinner at the restaurant will smoothly turn into a disco!

You will relax and dance to your favorite hits in the company of loved ones and new acquaintances, enjoy the feeling of celebration and recharge with positivity!

Don't forget to bring along a good mood and a willingness to dance non-stop!

The active and loud part of the program will end at 23:00, but this is not a reason to disperse – for those who are not ready to sleep yet, a "quiet" afterparty will be organized.

You will have breakfast at the restaurant on the base and go on an excursion to the historical park "Bastion", a cultural and educational center of the "living history" format.

Here you will try on the role of a Viking in the Black Bear Fortress Museum, immerse yourself in the history of the Soviet-Finnish conflicts in the Four Fronts Museum, and visit the Stone Age eco-playground, a natural space with petroglyphs on stones.

You will have the opportunity to take photos in historical costumes and participate in master classes.

Next, you will have lunch at an authentic tavern in the park.

Then you will climb the ecotrope to the picturesque Paaso Mountain (or Paasonvuori, "flat-topped mountain").

From here, from a height of 80 meters, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the surroundings: the Helulianyoki River and Lake Karmalanyarvi, through which a railway bridge has been laid, over which the famous Ruskeala Express train runs.

In the evening, you will have free time in Sortavala. You can have dinner at any cafe or restaurant you like, buy souvenirs and stroll around the city.

Before that, the bus will stop at the railway station, and you will be asked to leave your luggage in the luggage room before the train. Please note! The service is paid, prices are specified on the spot.

Departure by evening trains from Sortavala railway station at 18:45 "Swallow" to St. Petersburg, at 20:36 night train No. 160 going through St. Petersburg to Moscow.
