Itinerary

Day 1 - Kizhi Museum-Reserve
The journey starts in Petrozavodsk, where you need to get to on your own on the first day of the program.
We recommend train No. 18 Karelia, arriving in Petrozavodsk at 07:55.
After meeting at Petrozavodsk train Station, you will be taken to breakfast and to the hotel, after which you will walk along the embankment of Lake Onega.
It is famous for unusual art objects, as well as sculptures and monuments donated to Petrozavodsk by the twin cities.
After the walk, you will take a high-speed boat to Kizhi Island (1 hour and 15 minutes on the way).
First, you will be given an individual sightseeing tour of the central part of the island.
You will visit the recently restored churches and the bell tower of the Kizhi churchyard, monuments of wooden architecture of the XVIII—XIX centuries.
Next, you will enjoy the extended program "Hidden Kizhi — far corners and the best views", during which you will walk through the most picturesque places and island villages.
You will see historical and cultural objects brought from various parts of Zaonezhye: residential buildings and outbuildings from Karelian, Russian and Vepsian villages, ancient chapels and household items.
After the tour, you will have lunch at a cafe on the island, and then head back to Petrozavodsk by boat.
Minibuses will be waiting for you at the city pier, where you will transfer to the Northern Ladoga region (3-3.5 hours on the way).
This is one of the most picturesque areas of Karelia. The famous Ladoga Skerries are located in this part — many small rocky islands separated by narrow straits.
In the evening, you will arrive at the pier of Lake Ladoga, from where you will take motorboats to Havus Island, located in the very center of the Ladoga skerries (15-20 minutes on the way). There is a comfortable glamping in which you will stay for the next 2 days.
You will find accommodation in cozy domed tents surrounded by a pine forest and a welcome dinner with dishes of Karelian cuisine.

Day 2 - Valaam Archipelago
After breakfast, you will embark on a private excursion to Valaam directly from the island pier on speedboats.
Together with your guide, you will visit the central estate of the monastery and the Transfiguration Cathedral, and then have lunch in the refectory of the monastery (lenten fish menu) and listen to a concert of church music.
After lunch, you will be introduced to the ancient hermitages of the Valaam archipelago. First, you will go to the Resurrection Skete, which is also called the "New Jerusalem." It is believed that this is where the history of Orthodox Karelia began.
Next, you will visit the Nikolsky Skete, which is located on Krestovy Island at the entrance to the Monastery Bay and is one of the most beautiful in Valaam. Along the way, you will discover picturesque views of the bays, numerous channels and inland lakes of the archipelago.
After the boat tours of Valaam, you will return to glamping, where a hot dinner will be waiting for you.
In the evening, if desired, you can relax in the furako sauna on the shores of Lake Ladoga or the Russian bath (for an additional fee).

Day 3 - Ladoga Skerries and the Ruskeala Mountain Park
After breakfast, you will enjoy a circular motorized boat route along the Ladoga skerries.
One of the striking features of this part of Ladoga is the so—called "reef mountains". They are sheer cliffs that drop into the lake from a height of up to 80 meters.
You will climb to the observation points of the Ladoga skerries: Mount Aino and/or Mount Vakhtimyaki (depending on weather conditions). From here you can enjoy a magnificent view of the vast expanses of Ladoga and the beauty of the skerry straits and islands.
For lunch, you will return to glamping, and after that you will continue the excursion program and take motorboats to the pier, from where minibuses will pick you up and you will go to the Ruskeala Mountain Park (30-40 minutes on the way).
Ruskeala marble quarry is a monument of cultural heritage of Russia. Development here began in 1765. The walls of the famous St. Isaac's Cathedral, Ladozhskaya and Primorskaya metro stations in St. Petersburg are decorated with Ruskeal marble.
The quarry is a huge system of underground tunnels and tunnels connected by vertical shafts. Most of them were flooded after the Great Patriotic War, and the quarry turned into an amazingly beautiful lake with turquoise-tinged water, the transparency of which reaches 15-18 meters.
After a private land tour in the mountain park, you will be taken to Sortavala, where you will have free time. You can stroll through the historical center and have dinner at the restaurant (extra charge) before heading to the train station for the evening train to Moscow.
Return tickets must be purchased for train No. 160A departing from Sortavala at 20:52.

The panoramic dome is a restaurant where breakfast and dinner will be served for you every day. There is a dining and tea area inside the tent (hot and cold water, tea, coffee, sweets are always freely available), as well as a relaxation area with a fireplace and board games.
A small lounge area is a place where you can play board games, watch a movie, or just sit with a book while sipping tea with sweets.
13 cozy geo-domes with a capacity of 1-3 adults or 1-4 people with children. Each of them has transformer beds — two comfortable lower beds (800x2000) or a double bed (1400x2000) and an extra bed upstairs with bed linen and towels, bedside tables, a coffee table with armchairs, a wardrobe, as well as sockets, a washbasin with room temperature water and a toilet.
The showers are in a separate building, with heating, hot water, hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel.
A Furako bathhouse on the shore of Lake Ladoga is a heated outdoor wooden font.
