An exciting snowmobile route

Embark on an exciting winter route through the Karelian taiga, which will take about 3-4 hours.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Snowmobile route through the Karelian taiga
The journey starts in Sortavala, where you need to get to on your own on the first day of the program. We recommend purchasing tickets for train No. 160B upon arrival from Moscow.
After meeting at the train station, you will have breakfast in a cafe and go to the starting point of the snowmobile route.
You will receive a safety briefing and pick up snowmobile equipment.
An exciting winter route through the Karelian taiga awaits you (double occupancy on a snowmobile, category B license is required for drivers).
The route is of medium difficulty, and it is advisable for drivers to have experience driving a snowmobile or ATV in off-road conditions.
The snowmobile route will take about 3-4 hours on the island of Riekkalansaari, the largest island of the Ladoga Skerries with a unique nature: cliffs with gloomy gorges, long plains covered with forests, swamps and meadows.
A snack lunch with hot tea and sandwiches will be arranged for you on the way.
After completing the route, you will hand over your snowmobile equipment, take buses to the pier and go by airboat to the island located in the very center of the Ladoga skerries.

You will dine on Karelian cuisine and relax in the large dome while watching movies or playing board games.
You will spend the night in cozy hemispherical tents surrounded by a pine forest.

Day 2 - Nature trail route
After breakfast, accompanied by a guide, you will set off on a hiking trail along the forest nature trail.
You will see geological rocks that can be called the "backbone of the Earth": a glacier passing through the territory of Ladoga exposed very ancient stone outcrops, which are up to 2.5 billion years old.
The culmination of the route will be the exit to the Haukkariutta rock (fin. "falcon reef"). From a height of more than 40 meters you will have a wonderful view of the Ladoga skerries.
Lunch will be organized for you in nature. Our instructors will smoke fresh Ladoga trout and treat you to the famous Karelian gate cakes. You can also warm up by the campfire with a mug of hot delicious mulled wine!
Then you will continue the route and return to glamping.
A delicious dinner will be waiting for you in the evening.
If you wish, you can also visit the furako sauna right on the shore of Ladoga (for an additional fee).

Day 3 - Ladoga skerries on airboats
After breakfast, you will have time to choose what to do. You can:
Take a walk along the coast and try to surprise curious seals.;
go skiing or snowshoeing;
watch a movie about Ladoga;
Play board games in the big dome;
just get a good night's sleep in nature, but in comfortable conditions on cozy beds.
Before the trip, you will be able to listen to a lecture about Ladoga.
After the liberation of the domes, you will have lunch and embark on an airboat route along the Ladoga skerries (3 hours).
Ladoga Skerries is a picturesque archipelago in the north of Lake Ladoga, consisting of many small rocky islands separated by straits.
One of the striking features of the Ladoga skerries is the so—called "reef mountains".
Reef mountains are called mountains that break off into the lake with sheer cliffs, the height of which can reach 80 meters.
You will climb to the observation points of the Ladoga Skerries with panoramic views. They offer magnificent views of the vast expanses of Ladoga and the Valaam Archipelago (in good weather).
During the tour you will also see the capes of the island of Honkasalo and the picturesque narrow straits of the Ladoga skerries.
We will finish the tour at the Sortavala pier. Next, you will go to the city, where you will take part in a walking tour of the city with a story from a guide.
Next, we still have a couple of hours before the departure of the Moscow train to buy souvenirs (optional).
Return tickets must be purchased for trains departing from Sortavala no earlier than 18:00.

The tour includes accommodation in domed glamping, an autonomous forest hotel with a high level of comfort right on the shores of Lake Ladoga. Glamping is located on Havus Island, surrounded by a picturesque pine forest and Ladoga skerries.

The cost of the tour for double occupancy is 65,900 rubles/person.

Single occupancy in the dome is possible for an additional fee of 15,000 rubles.

For additional guests. place (third in the dome) and 10% discount for children under 12 years old.

You will stay in domed glamping, an autonomous forest hotel with a high level of comfort right on the shores of Lake Ladoga. Glamping is located on Havus Island, surrounded by a picturesque pine forest and Ladoga skerries.

On the territory of glamping there are:

The panoramic dome is a restaurant where breakfast and dinner will be served for you every day. There is a dining and tea area inside the tent (hot and cold water, tea, coffee, sweets are always freely available), as well as a relaxation area with a fireplace and board games.
A small lounge area is a place where you can play board games, watch a movie, or just sit with a book while sipping tea with sweets.
13 cozy geo-domes with a capacity of 1-3 adults or 1-4 people with children. Each of them has transformer beds — two comfortable lower beds (800x2000) or a double bed (1400x2000) and an extra bed upstairs with bed linen and towels, bedside tables, a coffee table with armchairs, a wardrobe, as well as sockets, a washbasin with room temperature water and a toilet.
The showers are in a separate building, with heating, hot water, hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel.
A Furako bathhouse on the shore of Lake Ladoga is a heated outdoor wooden font.
