Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival in Sortavala. Sightseeing tour of the city. A trip to the Ladoga skerries. Christmas Dinner

    The journey starts in Sortavala, where you need to get to on your own on the first day of the program.

    We recommend purchasing tickets for train No. 160B upon arrival from Moscow.

    Meeting at Sortavala train station, breakfast in a cafe.

    You will go on a guided sightseeing tour of Sortavala, stroll through the historical part of the city, get acquainted with its unusual buildings and picturesque nature, learn about the fate of the city: from its foundation to modern life.

    After the tour, we will climb Mount Kuhavuori in Vakkosalmi Park. A concrete staircase built in 1927 with 183 steps leads up. From a height of almost 64 m, you will see Lake Ladoga in all its glory, the historical center of Sortavala, which you have just walked through, and the surroundings of the city.

    From Sortavala Pier, you will embark on a 2-hour airboat ride on Lake Ladoga, the largest lake in Europe! You will see the famous rocky islands covered with ice splashes, bizarrely shaped by wind and water, and reef mountains.

    Reef hills are called hills that break off into the lake with steep cliffs, the height of which can reach 80 meters.

    The luggage will be delivered by a company car to the Yagodnaya Village country complex. You will travel light on the tour.

    The tour will end with arrival at the Yagodnaya Village country complex, which is located on two islands of Lake Ladoga separated by the strait.

    Lunch will be waiting for you here.

    After checking into the rooms, you will have free time.

    If desired, you can visit the furako sauna on the shore of the strait, go on a snowmobile route, rent skis, snowshoes and other equipment for active pastime (for an additional fee, check prices at the reception desk) or relax in the rooms.

    At Christmas in the Berry Village, we preserve ancient traditions and invite you to join the carols!

    You will sing festive songs, walk around the village from house to house and wish everyone happiness, health and well-being.

    Funny games, ringing voices and the atmosphere of a real national holiday will bring joy to both adults and children, and acquaintance with carols will become a unique part of your Christmas holiday.

    It's time for the Christmas feast at the Berry Village restaurant.

    All the guests gather at a large table: glasses clink in toasts, the aroma of festive dishes fills the air, flickering candles and garlands maintain an atmosphere of comfort. And everyone at the table feels the real Christmas magic!

    You will spend the night in cozy cabins with all the amenities.

    • comfortable warm sportswear is an optimal suit for snowboarding or downhill skiing. We recommend that you do not wear jeans, as they restrict movement and do not warm you up.;
    • fleece jacket or sweater;
    • socks should be on your feet (thin cotton + necessarily warm wool);
    • gloves and a hat.
  3. A set of clothes for an overnight stay:
    • a set of spare underwear;
    • comfortable shorts/sweatpants and T-shirt;
    • slippers or warm socks.
  4. For a trip to the sauna:
    • a swimsuit (if you need one);
    • slates/sandals for sports.

    • personal hygiene products (the rooms at the recreation center have individual shower sets (shampoo, soap);
    • individual first aid kit;
    • hair dryer (if you need it);
  7. Documents:
