After meeting at the St. Petersburg train station, you will take a minibus or a large bus (depending on the size of the group) to Sortavala (270 km). Along the way, visiting the natural and historical sites of the Leningrad region and Ladoga region.
Breakfast is not provided, we recommend having a snack on the plane or on the train.
The first stop on the route in the Leningrad region (45 km on the way) will be the husky kennel to get acquainted with its main inhabitants – Siberian and Alaskan huskies and malamutes.
You will be told about the features of sled dog breeds, what they are, you will learn a lot about the world of sled racing.
You will complete the route on a dog sled as a cabin attendant or an honorary passenger.
At the same time, 4-5 teams go on the route, the rest of the participants can take pictures with the dogs at this time, communicate with them and the owners of the kennel.
After lunch at the cafe, the next stop will be the Kiryazh Museum in the village. Kurkieki. Here you will learn about the medieval history of the Northwestern Ladoga region. They will tell you who the Kiryals are, how they are connected with the chronicle tribe of Korela.
The Kiryazh Museum is interactive, you can listen to how Karelian speech sounds, try to play musical instruments, look for hidden runes in the troll's head.
Transfer by airboat.
In the evening you will arrive at the pier, from where you will go by airboat to glamping, to the island located in the very center of the Ladoga skerries (20 minutes on the way).
You will stay in the geo-domes and have dinner with Karelian cuisine.
You will spend the night in cozy hemispherical tents surrounded by a pine forest.
