You will chat with beautiful and friendly dogs, go on a quest and hiking route along Havus Island with a guide, see snow-covered Ladoga and skerries, try winter fishing and visit the famous Ruskeala Mountain Park.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - The road to Ladoga, husky and the Kiryazh Museum

    Meeting at the St. Petersburg train station.

    After meeting at the St. Petersburg train station, you will take a minibus or a large bus (depending on the size of the group) to Sortavala (270 km). Along the way, visiting the natural and historical sites of the Leningrad region and Ladoga region.

    Breakfast is not provided, we recommend having a snack on the plane or on the train.

    The first stop on the route in the Leningrad region (45 km on the way) will be the husky kennel to get acquainted with its main inhabitants – Siberian and Alaskan huskies and malamutes

    You will be told about the features of sled dog breeds, what they are, you will learn a lot about the world of sled racing.

    You will complete the route on a dog sled as a cabin attendant or an honorary passenger. 

    At the same time, 4-5 teams go on the route, the rest of the participants can take pictures with the dogs at this time, communicate with them and the owners of the kennel. 

    After lunch at the cafe, the next stop will be the Kiryazh Museum in the village. Kurkieki. Here you will learn about the medieval history of the Northwestern Ladoga region. They will tell you who the Kiryals are, how they are connected with the chronicle tribe of Korela.

    The Kiryazh Museum is interactive, you can listen to how Karelian speech sounds, try to play musical instruments, look for hidden runes in the troll's head.

    Transfer by airboat.

    In the evening you will arrive at the pier, from where you will go by airboat to glamping, to the island located in the very center of the Ladoga skerries (20 minutes on the way).

    You will stay in the geo-domes and have dinner with Karelian cuisine.

    You will spend the night in cozy hemispherical tents surrounded by a pine forest.

The tour includes accommodation in the Lago Ladoga dome glamping. It is located in the most picturesque place of the Ladoga skerries — on the island of Havus, surrounded by a pine forest.

The cost of the tour for 1 person, depending on the dates of the tour:

  • check-in 02.02–04.02 — 53 500 rub/person.;
  • arrivals 23.02–25.02, 08.03–10.03 — 55 500 rub/person.

Single accommodation in a tent is possible for an additional fee of 15,000 rubles.

A 10% discount is provided for children under 12 years old, as well as for the third person in the tent, when placed in an additional sleeping place upstairs. Discounts are not cumulative.

Lago Ladoga Dome glamping 2 nights
  • A panoramic lounge area where breakfast and dinner will be served for you. Inside the tent there is a dining and tea room (always available for guests), as well as a seating area with a fireplace and board games.
  • There are 13 domed tents, each designed for 2-3 people. Inside there are two comfortable lower beds or one large one for couples and an extra bed upstairs, a bedside table, two armchairs and a coffee table by the panoramic window overlooking the forest and lake. There is also a wardrobe, sockets, a toilet and a washbasin. Each guest is provided with two towels. You will be warm, each dome has electric shutters and a fireplace with automatic fuel supply, you will not have to get up at night and throw firewood.
  • Stylish and comfortable showers and toilets (on site).
  • 2 baths-furako — heated open fonts right on the shore of the lake. Here you can relax with a wonderful view.
  • A campfire area with seating where you can arrange atmospheric evening gatherings.

Personal equipment you need for the tour

Personal belongings and equipment:

  • documents in sealed packaging: passport, medical policy;
  • backpack or travel bag;
  • an individual first aid kit;
  • personal hygiene products;
  • bathing accessories and slates (for visiting furako);
  • change of underwear.

Clothing and shoes:

  • a warm winter jacket and trousers, preferably windproof (a ski suit will do);
  • 2 pairs of comfortable and warm shoes, one of the pairs of shoes is better with water protection;
  • a warm and light hat;
  • gloves or mittens (2 pairs);
  • wool socks (2 pairs);
  • thermal underwear.
