The journey begins at the Berry Village country complex, where you need to get there on your own on the first day of the program.
To Sortavala, we recommend purchasing tickets for train No. 160B upon arrival from Moscow.
After arriving in Sortavala, you will need to get to the Berry Village country complex.
Please note! The country complex is a 20-minute drive from Sortavala. You can arrive by private transport (there is parking for guests on site) or by taxi.
Please note that using Yandex.It can be difficult to call a taxi or other aggregators. You can pre–order a passenger transfer - 1,500 rubles one way.
After breakfast at the complex's restaurant, you will enjoy an exciting snowmobile route around the island of Riekkalansaari and the surrounding area (double occupancy on a snowmobile, category B license is required for drivers). Before the start, you will receive a safety briefing and pick up snowmobile equipment.
Riekkalansaari Island is the largest island of the Ladoga Skerries with a unique nature: cliffs with gloomy gorges, long plains covered with forests, swamps and meadows.
The route of average difficulty takes about 6 hours, and it is advisable for drivers to have experience driving a snowmobile or ATV in off-road conditions.
A winter picnic lunch will be organized for you on the way. Try the dishes of Karelian cuisine, warm up with hot tea.
After completing the route, you will return to the Berry Village.
A delicious buffet dinner will be waiting for you here.
If desired, you can relax in the furako sauna or the Russian bath on the shore of the strait (for an additional fee at the special price of the tour participant).
In the evening, we will continue to get acquainted over board games and socializing in a restaurant or around a campfire (depending on weather conditions).
The base has its own collection of games that can be freely used, so the evening will be easy and relaxed.
