Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival at the glamping site. Yachting Basics
Meeting at Sortavala station.
We recommend purchasing tickets for train 160B arriving from Moscow.
After meeting at the station, you will have breakfast in a cafe and go to the pier on the shore of Lake Ladoga, from where you will be transferred by motorboat (10-15 minutes on the way) to the island located in the very center of the Ladoga skerries.
Arrival at the glamping site.
You will be accommodated in geo-domes, get acquainted with the glamping territory, and have fun yachting training ahead.
Meeting the captains, theory block.
During the onshore theoretical part, you will get acquainted with the basic terms and concepts that sailors use, you will learn what types of yachts there are, what they are made of, how they move, what sailing equipment is made of and how to control it.
Lunch in glamping.
Our chefs will be happy to surprise you with a thoughtful menu with elements of Karelian cuisine.
Sailing training.
The water area of the northern part of Lake Ladoga is distinguished by its untouched nature, open Ladoga, skerries consisting of many large islands of complex configuration and small rocky islands, rocks and channels.
During your on-water training, you will alternate between open water and the skerry area of the lake.
On the first day of training — preparation for going out on the water, learning basic maneuvers, turns, mooring practice.
The total training duration is no more than 4 hours.
Sailing yachts have a toilet and kitchenette for your comfort.
You will enjoy a delicious dinner from the chef, summing up the day and watching a film about yachting together.

Day 2 - Managing a sailing yacht. Master class on gravlax
In the morning, breakfast will be served in the restaurant or on the terrace overlooking the lake.
Practice. Managing a sailing yacht.
The main topic of the second training day is sailing yacht control: turning the yacht relative to the wind “Overstay” and “Jybee”, sailing the yacht relative to the wind, sailing against the wind.
Each participant will be able to work with ropes and the steering wheel, try out different roles in the crew, and practice maneuvers.
Training duration is 3,5-4 hours.
Dinner.
After lunch you will have a master class on gravlax.
You will learn the ancient features of fish preparation that have survived to this day, and take part in the process of salting rainbow trout.
In ancient times, local residents ate almost nothing but fish and buried it in the ground for storage. Hence the name gravlax — “buried” salmon.
You will try to prepare gravlax in a modern way.
Free time.
You will have free time to walk around the island to the neighboring bay or climb to the observation deck.
If you wish, you can rent SUP boards or order a session in a Russian bathhouse or Furaco bathhouse (for an additional fee).
Dinner will be organized for you, an evening training review, and if you wish, you can play a Karelian quiz or spend time around a big fire.

Day 3 - Pursuit race
In the morning, a Karelian-style breakfast will be served to you.
Pursuit race.
You will receive an introductory briefing before the pursuit race.
Training under sail in a competitive format is an opportunity to feel the excitement and practice new knowledge, skills and team coherence gained during the first two days of training.
The total duration of the race is about 2 hours.
Summarizing.
Captains will appreciate both the teamwork on each yacht and will be able to identify leaders.
In yachting there are no restrictions for starting sailing, each participant will be able to prove themselves.
Lunch in glamping.
After the race you will have free time to get ready, have lunch and then you will go to Sortavala.
Return to Sortavala.
You will have free time to walk around the city, have dinner on your own (additional charge) or buy souvenirs before the evening train to Moscow.
Return tickets must be purchased for train 160A, departing from Sortavala at 20:37 on the final day of the tour.

The tour includes accommodation in a dome glamping Lago Ladoga. It is located in the most picturesque place of the Ladoga skerries — on the island of Havus, surrounded by a pine forest.

Supplement for single occupancy in a tent — RUB 15,000 per person.

We provide a 10% discount for children under 12 years old, as well as a third person in the tent, when accommodated in an extra bed upstairs. Discounts cannot be combined.
