Velikaya Ladoga

In the morning, breakfast will be organized for you at the glamping.

A route along a forest nature trail.

You will go on a guided hiking trail along a forest trail. It runs through the entire island of Havus from south to north (length about 3 km, 1.5–2 hours). 

On the route you will see giant fir trees, picturesque marshes covered with mosses, foundations of old Finnish farms, outcrops of ancient geological rocks.

At the northern tip of the island, where the trail ends, minibuses will be waiting for you, which will take you to the starting point of rafting on the Yanis River (30-40 minutes on the way).

The rafting will take place on rafts or inflatable kayaks.

Before going on the route, you will have lunch in nature and receive a safety briefing. 

During the rafting you will overcome several thresholds of the 2nd and 3rd difficulty categories, see Finnish hydroelectric power plants and picturesque canyons (the length of the rafting is 4-6 km, 2-3 hours).

After the end of the rafting, you will be taken back to glamping.

In the evening, you will have dinner and relax.

After dinner, you can watch a movie and listen to a lecture about Ladoga or use additional glamping services — visit the Russian bath or furako bath on the shore of Ladoga (for an additional fee).

The route along the Ladoga skerries.

You will go on a circular route on motor boats along the Ladoga skerries.

One of the striking features of the Ladoga skerries is the so—called "reef mountains".

Reef mountains are called mountains that break off into the lake with sheer cliffs, the height of which can reach 80 meters.

During the trip, landings on the islands are provided. 

Together with the guide, you will climb to picturesque points with panoramas of the skerries, where you will hear legends from the famous epic "Kalevala".

The route will begin with a tour of the "giant's fingers" — the picturesque capes of Honkasalo Island, where you can see firsthand that Russia has its own fjords — narrow bays with steep stone walls.

Next, the route will take you to the famous Aino Rock. You will climb to one of the most beautiful observation decks with magnificent views of Ladoga and the skerries.

A hot lunch in nature will be organized on the route.

The culmination of the route will be an exit to the "Roof of Ladoga" — Vakhtimyaki Mountain, the view from which is breathtaking, then you will return to glamping.

You will have dinner and relax. 

After dinner, you can spend time with songs and games around a large campfire.

In the morning, breakfast will be organized for you at the glamping.

After breakfast, you will try your hand at SUP boarding. 

SUP-boards are inflatable boards with a paddle, on which it is customary to row standing up. Even if you have never tried to control them before, after the instructor's explanations, everything works out even for beginners.

You will take a short route in a Quiet bay and take cool photos.

After the training and the route on the SUP boards, lunch is waiting for you at the glamping restaurant.

Ascent to the observation deck of Haukkariutta

Then, accompanied by a guide, you will continue to explore Havus Island and climb to the observation deck (Haukkariutta), from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the skerries of Lake Ladoga.

On the final evening, you will have a gala dinner with a surprise from our chef and a Karelian quiz.

In the morning, breakfast will be organized for you at the glamping.

Excursion to Valaam.

In good weather, you will go by boat to the Valaam Archipelago (30 km from glamping), where you will have a private tour. 

You will get acquainted with the architectural monuments and the history of the Valaam Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery. 

In the Monastery Bay you will explore its Central Estate, temples, cell buildings and pilgrimage hotels.

Lunch will be organized in the monastery refectory, after which you will go to the distant capes and hermitages of New Jerusalem. 

You will see the Resurrection Hermitage, the secluded Gethsemane Garden of the monastery, climb Mount Olivet, famous for its magnificent views. 

At the end of your acquaintance with Valaam, visit the white-stone St. Nicholas Church.

At the end of the route, you will arrive in Sortavala. 

The guide will take you on a short walking tour of the city and you will have free time to have dinner on your own and buy souvenirs.
