After meeting at Petrozavodsk Train Station, you will travel to Sortavala in expedition vehicles, visiting iconic natural and historical sites along the way. There will be a special off-road stage, which, if desired, you can pass behind the wheel of a jeep.
Breakfast is not provided, there will be a snack. We recommend having breakfast on the train.
The ancient village of Kinerma.
The first stop on the route will be the ancient Karelian village of Kinerma. Here you will have an excursion and lunch with dishes of national cuisine in an ancient museum house.
Kinerma is a monument of the folk wooden architecture of the southern Karelians and is a member of the Association of the most beautiful villages in Russia.
You will stroll through the quiet village streets among the ancient Karelian houses, visit the chapel of Our Lady of Smolensk and get acquainted with peasant life.
Waterfall "White bridges".
You will go to the next attraction — the picturesque waterfall "White Bridges" (Yukankoski) on the Kulismajoki River.
It is the highest waterfall in the south of Karelia (height — 19 m). The road to the waterfall will pass through the Karelian taiga.
In the evening, you will arrive at the pier, from where you will take motorboats to Havus Island, located in the very center of the Ladoga skerries (15-20 minutes on the way).
This is a picturesque archipelago in the north of Lake Ladoga, consisting of many small rocky islands separated by straits.
Here you will find accommodation in a glamping, a welcome dinner from the chef with dishes of Karelian cuisine and an evening of dating. You will spend the night in cozy hemispherical tents surrounded by a pine forest.
If desired, and for an additional fee, you can visit the Russian bathhouse or the hot tub-furako on the shore of Ladoga.
