The yacht camp is designed for those who want to take their first steps towards yachting and sailing, or are ready to improve their skills in a new water area. 

The classes will help you get acquainted with the sail, systematize your knowledge, improve your skills and improve the level of boat management.

You will live on the island, in a cozy domed glamping, sailing yachts every day and admiring the unspoilt northern nature.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival at glamping. The basics of yachting

    Meeting at Sortavala railway station.

    We recommend purchasing tickets for train No. 160B upon arrival from Moscow.

    After meeting at the train station, you will have breakfast in a cafe and go to the pier on the shore of Lake Ladoga, from where you will be transferred by motorboat (10-15 minutes on the way) to the island located in the very center of the Ladoga skerries.

    Arrival at glamping.

    You will be accommodated in the geocupes, get acquainted with the glamping area, and there is an exciting yachting training ahead.

    Getting to know the captains, theory block.

    During the coastal theoretical part, you will get acquainted with the basic terms and concepts used by sailors, learn what yachts are, what they consist of, how they move, what sailing equipment consists of and how to control it.

    Lunch at glamping.

    Our chefs will be happy to surprise you with a thoughtful menu with elements of Karelian cuisine.

    Sailing training.

    The difference between the waters of the northern part of Lake Ladoga is unspoilt nature, open Lake Ladoga, skerries consisting of many large islands of complex configuration and small rocky islets, rocks and channels.

    During water training, you will alternate between the open water area and the skerry area of the lake.

    On the first day of training, preparation for going out on the water, learning basic maneuvers, turns, and mooring practice.

    The total duration of the training is no more than 4 hours.

    Sailing yachts have a toilet and a kitchenette for your comfort.

    You will enjoy a delicious dinner from the chef, summing up the day and watching a movie about yachting together.

The tour includes accommodation in the Lago Ladoga dome glamping. It is located in the most picturesque place of the Ladoga skerries — on the island of Havus, surrounded by a pine forest.

The surcharge for a single room in a tent is 15,000 rubles/person.

For children under 12 years old, as well as for the third person in the tent, when staying in an extra bed upstairs, we provide a 10% discount. Discounts do not add up.

Lago Ladoga dome glamping 2 nights

Year-round glamping in the Republic of Karelia on Havus Island. Accommodation in comfortable geo-domes in Ladoga skerries.

Personal equipment you need for the tour

Personal items and equipment:

  • documents in sealed packaging: passport, medical policy;
  • backpack or travel bag;
  • sunglasses and sunscreen and after sunburn;
  • individual first aid kit;

  • change of linen;
  • bathing accessories and slates (for visiting the furako baths).

Clothing and shoes:

  • comfortable sportswear for outdoor walks (according to the weather);
  • 2 pairs of shoes: trekking boots / rubber boots + running shoes / lightweight replacement boots;
  • waterproof and windproof clothing / raincoats made of dense materials for traveling on the lake;
  • headdress (cap, panama hat, sports hat);
