Itinerary

Day 1 - Petrozavodsk city tour. "The Courtyard of Hull"
Upon arrival of train No. 18, meet with a guide at the Petrozavodsk railway station, under the steeple on the platform side, there is a plaque "Legends of Karelia".
Buffet breakfast in the city restaurant.
Bus sightseeing tour of Petrozavodsk + walking tour of the unique open-air museum of Modern Art (sculpture exhibition on the embankment of Lake Onega).
During the tour, you will get acquainted with the history of the city, as well as its modern appearance. You will explore historical squares, visit the Governor's Park, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and walk along the embankment of Lake Onega.
Departure for the country excursion program "Living traditions of Karelia". (duration is about 4 hours).
Transfer from Petrozavodsk to the unique location "Hall's Yard" (30 km).
The "Halla Courtyard" is an atmospheric space on the shores of Lake Urozero, where tradition and modernity meet. An authentic Karelian hut from the 19th century and a stylish designer barn inspired by the culture of the region are side by side here.
The Hull Courtyard is a place where legends, crafts and northern hospitality come to life, and every guest becomes a part of Karelian history.

Day 2 - Free day or guided tours for an additional fee

Option number 1. Excursion to Kizhi Island.
The gathering place of the group is the monument to Peter the Great on the embankment of Lake Onega, independent arrival. A trip by "Comet" to Kizhi Island (1 hour 20 min. along Lake Onega. On the island – 4 hours).
Kizhi Island is the pearl of Zaonezhye, located among the Kizhi skerries. The main attraction of the island is the museum of wooden architecture, in the center of which is the ensemble of the Kizhi cemetery.
During the island tour, you will visit a traditional peasant's house, learn a lot about Karelian crafts and traditions, listen to the bells and see one of the main Orthodox shrines of the Russian North -the Church of the Resurrection of Lazarus.
Return to Petrozavodsk.
Option number 2. Rafting on the Shuya River.
The gathering place of the group is Gagarin Square, 1, independent arrival.
Rafting (inflatable rafts) on the beautiful Shuya River — a distance of 8 km, 4 rapids, 1 difficulty category. Safety is guaranteed by experienced instructors.
There are no age restrictions.
Picnic lunch in nature.
Return to Petrozavodsk.

Day 3 - The Shungite Center. Mount Sampo. Marcial Waters and Girvas volcano. Kivach Waterfall
Buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
Departure for a country tour "Shungite Center — Sampo Mountain — Marcial Waters — Girvas Park — Kivach Waterfall" (the duration of the tour is about 9 hours).
Visit to the Shungite Center. You will get acquainted with the mysterious mineral, here you will learn about the properties of shungite and its application, visit the shungite relaxation room, rest in which will give you an incredible charge of living energy.
After that, we will treat you to Karelian ivan tea.
Transfer to Sampo Mountain. Sampo Mountain in Karelia is considered a place of power and impresses with its beauty. Sampo Mountain is small in height, easy to climb, and the view from the top is amazing.
Transfer to the first Russian resort "Marcial Waters".
The main object of the exhibition is the Church of St. Peter the Apostle, an architectural monument of the Peter the Great era. The building was built in 1721 by order of Peter the Great, perhaps even according to his design and drawings. This church is the only architectural monument preserved from the buildings of the resort of Peter the Great and associated with the stay of the tsar in the region. A unique opportunity to taste the healing water from 3 springs known since the time of Peter the Great.
Visit to the ancient Girvas volcano Park. Fortunately, the volcano is no longer active, but we can see frozen lava, volcanic rocks and amazing landscapes.
Lunch at a cafe on the way, for an additional fee.
Departure to the Kivach Nature Reserve — the oldest in Russia and the first in Karelia.
During the tour of the reserve you will see the most famous waterfall of Karelia — Kivach and the arboretum of the famous Karelian birch.
Return to Petrozavodsk.

Day 4 - Ruskeala Mountain Park. Arrival in Sortavala
Buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant.
Room release, check-out with your belongings.
Departure to the most beautiful corner of Karelia — Northern Ladoga region (250 km drive, 4 hours on the way).
On the way, we will stop at the Akhinkoski waterfalls — the Tokhminsky waterfalls cascade, the place where the movie "And the dawns here are quiet" was shot.
An "Eco-trail" has been developed at the waterfalls along suspension bridges — passage along it is not included in the price of the tour and is paid additionally, if desired, directly on the territory of the waterfalls (if technically possible).
Upon arrival at the Ruskeala Mountain Park, there will be a land tour "The Road of Mountain Masters".
The old and abandoned quarry of stone mining, which has been developed for almost three centuries, is now equipped for tourists to visit.
You will see a unique creation – a huge bowl, carved by human hands in an array of marble strata, which stretches from north to south for 456 m, and its width is 109 m.
Take a walk along the extraordinary lake, which is framed by gentle and steep cliffs of light gray marble, reaching a height of 25 m above the water mirror.
Free time in the mountain park.
At 17:00 departure from the mountain park on the retro train e to the city of Sortavala.
Arrival in Sortavala.
Transfer to the selected hotel "Alda" / "Valoranta 4*", accommodation in rooms with amenities.

Day 5 - Valaam Island
Breakfast in a cafe in the city.
Room release before 12:00, things in the luggage room.
Departure along Lake Ladoga to Valaam Island (50 min. on the way on the Meteor).
Valaam has a full lunch program (lenten), 5-hour stay on the island, walking programs:
Guided tour of the Central manor of the monastery.
Excursion to one of the hermitages of the Valaam archipelago (according to the technical capability of the monastery): Excursion to Nikolsky skete — one of the most beautiful sketes of Valaam or "New Jerusalem": Resurrection skete, Gethsemane skete, ascend Mount Olivet. Valaam is the Northern Athos, the holy monastery, the magical land. At one time, N. Roerich, I. Shishkin, A. Kuindzhi, F. Tyutchev, representatives of the Romanov dynasty, and prominent church figures loved to visit Valaam.
Valaam will not leave you indifferent!
Return to Sortavala.
Transfer to Sortavala railway station.
Departure of trains to Moscow/Saint-Petersburg.
In case of cancellation of a trip to Valaam Island, in case of force majeure (storm, fog, malfunction of water transport), the following excursion program is conducted:
Sightseeing tour of Sortavala with a visit to the museum of the private collection of Kronid Gogolev and Mount Paaso.
Lunch at a cafe in the city.

We went on the Reboot tour in Karelia and came away with so many positive emotions and impressions. The organization was excellent, everything ran smoothly with no delays or confusion. We always knew who was picking us up, where we were going, and when we’d be back. We've been on other trips, so we truly appreciate how well this one was managed, thank you for that. We really loved staying at the Verkhovye Hotel. It had such a warm, family-like atmosphere that it made us want to come back again. We returned home rested and in great spirits. Thank you.
