Itinerary

  • Day 1 - A walk through Sortavala. Kronid Gogolev Museum. Transfer to the island. Music workshop

The journey begins in the city of Sortavala, where you arrive on your own. We recommend purchasing tickets for train No. 160B (with arrival from Moscow at 08:25).

After meeting at the train station, you will have breakfast in a cozy cafe, and then go for a short walk around the city of Sortavala, the ancient capital of the Northern Ladoga region.

During a walking tour of the historical center, the guide will tell you about the legends of this city, about the ancestors of Karelians – sorcerers and witches, about the poetic epic "Kalevala", the main book of Karelians and Finns.

Finally, we will visit the museum of Kronid Gogolev, a great artist whose wooden paintings bring to life the legends and myths of this region.

Next, we will go to the Sortavala marina, from where we will transfer by airboat to glamping, located on an island among a maze of skerry islands (the journey will take 30 minutes).

After a welcome lunch from our chef, you can relax in the domes.

Later, it will be time for a musical master class, where you will try to play ethnic instruments, awakening with your sound the spirits and melodies stored in the heart of this land.

In the evening, you will have a dinner with dishes of Karelian cuisine.

After dinner, you can play board games by the fireplace or relax in the Russian sauna or Japanese furako sauna (upon reservation for an additional fee).

You will spend the night in cozy hemispherical tents surrounded by a pine forest.
