Transfer to the starting point of the rafting trip – to the Ignoilskaya HPP dam (130 km from Petrozavodsk).
Lunch in the field, preparation of equipment for going out on the river.
Before the start, you will receive a safety briefing and pick up your equipment: a life jacket, helmet, paddles. General and personal items will be packed in waterproof bags.
Rafting on the Shuya River: Ignolskaya HPP – port. Kenyakoski (3-4 K.S.) – por. Valoine (1-2 c.s.) – por. Sarikoski (1-2 c.s.) – por. Kumio (2-3 villages), 15 km.
Shuya is one of the longest and largest rivers of the Republic of Karelia. The river has a frequently changing mood: sometimes calm, sometimes harsh, which especially attracts tourists.
Due to the fact that Shuya is surrounded by peat bogs, the waters of the river are colored in a dark tea color.
The river itself is friendly to beginners and children, the rapids here range from simple to complex. The most difficult thresholds that you will pass today are the Kenyakoski and Kumio thresholds.
The instructor decides on the passage. or the demolition of the Kenyakoski and Kumio rapids, depending on the general readiness of the group and the water level.
Kenyakoski threshold (3-4 km.) – from the Karelian language "black threshold", and all because the water appears black because of the rocks coming to the surface.
A snack will be arranged for you on the way.
In the evening, you will take part in setting up a camp and cooking dinner.

Free time at the camp: you can gather in a group around the campfire, play traditional hiking games, and share your impressions of the hike.
