Itinerary

  • Day 1 - ATV riding through taiga forests and a master class on tinctures

The journey starts in Sortavala, where you need to get to on your own on the first day of the program.

We recommend purchasing tickets for train No. 160B upon arrival in Sortavala at 08:25.

After meeting at the train station in Sortavala, you will have breakfast in a cozy cafe and go to the starting point of the quad route.

You will be provided with a dirt-resistant suit, familiarized with safety techniques, and you will embark on an ATV trip.

The 3-4-hour route will pass through abandoned Finnish villages, past ancient watermills, and through protected Karelian forests.

The culmination of the route will be a visit to the beautiful lake Vakhvajarvi and the abandoned marble quarry (double occupancy on an ATV, category B license is required for drivers).

A snack will be arranged on the way.

After completing the route, you will hand over your equipment and go to the pier, from where you will be transferred by motorboat to the island, located in the very center of the Ladoga skerries.

After the placement in the domes, we will conduct a master class on the preparation of tinctures.

We will perform different versions of making tinctures from berries and herbs, taste original recipes from the chef of the restaurant and prepare a memorable souvenir with ourselves.

Next, you will have a welcome dinner with dishes of Karelian cuisine.

You will spend the night in cozy hemispherical domes surrounded by a pine forest.

Due to weather conditions, the days may change places in the program.
