Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Khabarovsk — Nikolaevsk-on-Amur — Wrangel Bay

    The journey begins in Khabarovsk, where you need to get there on your own.

    You must be in Khabarovsk the day before the start of the program. This is necessary to prepare for a long journey.

    The meeting of the group takes place at the agreed time at the airport. Nevelsky in Khabarovsk. You need to get to the airport yourself.

    Flight Khabarovsk — Nikolaevsk-on-Amur.

    After meeting with the group at the Khabarovsk airport, you will have a flight on an Aurora or Khabarovsk Airlines plane to Nikolaevsk-on-Amur (flight time 1 hour 35 minutes).

    You will be met by motor transport, which will take you to Cape Perovsky (on the way from 2.5 hours to 4 hours) along a gravel forest road. 

    From Cape Perovsky, a catamaran will take you to Wrangel Bay. Depending on the sea conditions, the passage will take from 4 hours to 6 hours.

  • 3 nights at the Ongachan tourist base in rooms with accommodation for 4 or 6 people, as well as at personal request in tents using sleeping bags. The settlement is carried out by the database administrator;
  • 4 nights at Cape Wrangel base in tents with accommodation for 2 people using sleeping bags. The tents have cots and lighting. The settlement is carried out by the database administrator;
  • 1 night in a hotel in Nikolaevsk-on-Amur.

Ongachan Campsite 3 nights

Accommodation for 4 or 6 people in rooms. 

For sleeping, there is a wooden shelf with a mattress, bed linen, blanket, pillow.

Personal equipment you need for the tour

To move to the sea:

  • storm clothing, storm suit (jumpsuit or jacket and pants);
  • high rubber boots or vader boots (needed for boarding and disembarking in a boat). Vaders should be without spikes;
  • shoes with warm insoles;
  • windproof hat;
  • thermal socks or insulated socks (2 pairs);
  • waterproof gloves (preferably neoprene);
  • buff or balaclava.

For light trekking and camping:

  • lightweight jacket (preferably GORE-TEX with a hood in case of rain);
  • light shoes for the camp: sneakers or, for example, crocs;
  • trekking pants or encephalitis suit;
  • a baseball cap or a light cap;
  • lightweight gloves;
  • thermal underwear (2 pieces of different degrees of warmth, so that you can choose the best option for each type of application);
  • the liner in the sleeping bag;
  • fleece (2 pcs. of different degrees of warmth);
  • underwear, T-shirts, socks (required quantity);
  • a camping towel;
  • bathing accessories (in case you want to get into the water);
  • sleeping bag (+5°With comfort). If there are not enough clothes for your head, stock up on a pillow (an airplane inflatable horseshoe pillow will do);
  • hermetic bag of the DRYBAG type (waterproof bag for all things);
  • a headlamp with spare batteries;
  • the hob (the seat);
  • a lightweight trekking backpack (if you are not a photographer) to pack the necessary small things (a bottle of water, a thermos, insulated clothes, etc.).

For photographic equipment:

  • waterproof backpack or hermetic bag for photographic equipment;
  • a lightweight DRYBAG for the boat, so as not to put the camera in the backpack every time during sea crossings.

Other necessary personal equipment:

  • personal first aid kit, hygiene kit, cosmetic bag, toothbrush, wet wipes, etc.;
  • a knife or a multitool.
