This route will allow you to get acquainted with the wonderful natural objects located on the border of the Northern and Circumpolar Urals – the Shchugor River and the highest peak of the Northern Urals – Mount Telpos-Iz (1619 m). Travelers will float on inflatable boats along the Shchugor River from the upper reaches to the mouth, with an inspection of the most beautiful coastal cliffs, as well as climb the city of Telpos-Iz.

The tour is available for individual groups of 6 people or more on dates upon request. Leave a request to find out how many participants there are at the moment.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Preparation for the alloy
10:00 Meeting of the participants in the village of Vuktyl.
From the village. Vuktyl we go to the highway along the Punga-Vuktyl-Ukhta gas pipeline, then we move along the highway east to the bridge over the Shchugor River.
The journey is approximately 4 hours.
Transport UAZ cars.
Setting up a camp.
Ship assembly, preparation for rafting.
Supper.
Sleepover.
Day 2 - Rafting on the Shchugor river
Catamaran 20 km.
Breakfast.
The beginning of the rafting.
We walk 12 km to the mouth of the Ponya river, have lunch.
After 3 km, the mouth of the Pelenkurya river, 5 km below Pelenkurya, we get up for the night.
Recreation, fishing.
Day 3 - Rafting on the Shchugor river
Breakfast.
Rafting 12 km to the mouth of the left tributary.
We're having lunch.
After lunch, we walk along the river for another 13 km.
Overnight, rest, fishing.
Catamaran 25 km.
Day 4 - Rafting on the Shchugor river
Breakfast.
We walk along the river for 12-13 km.
There is a forest along the banks – larch, birch, willow, cedar, spruce.
Lots of dead wood.
The peaks of Telpos Iza stick invincibly above the clouds, and to the left of it, in the Chora Iza Mountain range, there is a magnificent huge steeply walled circus with a regular rounded shape.
We get up for lunch.
After that we go to the mouth of the Moroi River.
Overnight, rest, fishing.
Catamaran 25 km.
Day 5 - Rafting on the Shchugor river
Breakfast.
We are rafting 9 km from the mouth of the Moroi river to the beginning of the Big Rapid.
Lunch.
We pass the mouth of the Volokovka River and the mouth of the Tradovaya River.
Dinner, overnight.
Catamaran 34 km.
Day 6 - Rafting on the Shchugor river
Breakfast, preparation for rafting.
Let's get started.
We have lunch at the mouth of the Nyartsu-Yu river, and after another 10 km we get up for the night on the left bank of the Shchugor River, at the mouth of the Durnoy-Spruce stream.
Overnight, preparation for the ascent to Telpos-From – the-nest of winds mountain, the highest peak of the Northern Urals.
Catamaran 21 km.
Day 7 - Climbing the city of Telpos-From
Climbing the city of Telpos-From one day for those who wish.
Breakfast.
We begin the ascent from the mouth of the Durnoy-Yely stream along its valley to Lake Telpos.
In a convenient location near the lake, we will organize an overnight stay, walk around the lake, admire the mountain scenery, take pictures, collect mushrooms and berries, if available.
Walking distance is 8 km.
Day 8 - The top of Telpos is from
Breakfast.
Leaving our tents and camping equipment by the lake, we move along the northeastern shore of Lake Telpos for another kilometer.
From here, a steep climb begins east-northeast to the crest, and then along the rocky ridge southwest to the top.

From Telpos Iza, there is a majestic view: in the north and northwest, the Neroka Mountains (1,646 m), Saber (1,425 m) and many others rise in a bluish haze.
In favorable weather conditions, we arrange a snack with tea from thermoses at the top.
Descent - on the way up to the parking lot at the mouth of the stream Durnoy-Spruce.
A gala dinner on the occasion of the successful ascent of one of the most significant and inaccessible peaks of the Urals.

Day 9 - Continuation of rafting along the Shchugor river
Breakfast.
We continue rafting on Shchugor.
We go to the Telpos river, at the mouth of which we have lunch.
At the 20th kilometer below the mouth of the Telpos, the Shchugor receives the Sedya River from the left.
We spend the night at the mouth of Sedyu.
Catamaran 35 km.
Day 10 - Rafting on the Shchugor river
After breakfast, we continue rafting along the Shchugor River through the Parma region.
At the 21st kilometer from the mouth of the Sedya, we pass a large right tributary of the Maly Patok.
Descending 10 km below the mouth of theTreacle, we'll spend the night.
Catamaran 31 km.
Day 11 - Rafting on the Shchugor river
Breakfast.
We continue rafting on Shchugor.
Lunch in 12 km.
After walking 24 km in a day, we reach the Veldor-Kyrta-El stream.
After it, the Shchugor riverbed narrows, forming a rocky “Upper Gate".
Opposite the mouth of the stream on the left bank of the Shchugor is a great place to camp.
We will explore the caves in the limestone outcrops of the right bank of the Shchugor.
Overnight, rest, fishing.
Catamaran 24 km.
Day 12 - Rafting on the Shchugor river
Breakfast, continue rafting.
We walk from the Upper to the Middle gate 11 km.
Lunch, combined with a tour of the cave and climbing to the root shore of Shchugor (the top of the rock gate).
After lunch, we walk 8 km to the Bolshoy Patok River.
10 km below the mouth of the Patoka River, we camp overnight.
We continue the rafting.
We go to the mouth of the Katya-El River and, just below, the site of the former village of Michabichevnik.
We have lunch at the mouth of the Kyrta-El river. The rapid current takes us out into the Pechora River.
We finish rafting in the village of Ust-Shchugor.
Supper.
Sleepover.
Catamaran 29 km.
Day 13 - Ust-Shchugor - the village of Vuktyl
Breakfast.
Gathering camps and catamarans.
Lunch.
13:40 Boarding a scheduled boat, following the route Ust-Shchugor - the village of Vuktyl.
17:30 Arrival in the village of Vuktyl.
Hotel accommodation (not included in the price).
Dinner (on your own).
Day 14 - Completion of the program
