Yugyd Va is one of the largest national parks in Russia. On this route you will get acquainted with its unique landscape and natural attractions.

The highest peaks of the Urals are located here: Narodnaya Mountain (1895 m) and the peculiar symbol of the park — Manaraga (1662 m). And one of the main values of the park is the crystal clear and ecologically impeccable water of the Kosyu River.

The start and end times of the tour may change by 50 hours in either direction due to changes in the Russian Railways schedule. The exact schedule becomes known at least 90 days before departure, and sometimes even later.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Meeting. Trekking to Limbeck Pass

01:27 Arrival in Inta village. Here we meet with our group's tourists from other cities and even other countries.
03:30 Departure on shift to Zhelannaya base.
10:00 Arrival at the beginning of the walking route. Breakfast
11:00 a.m. Safety briefing on the route, hiking plan, check of all necessary equipment, distribution of products in the backpacks of the participants.
12:00 We move along the Lower Balbanty Lake along the Balbanyu River.
14:00 Lunch at the Valley of the Ancestors tract on the shore of Lake Verkhneye Balbanty, overlooking the iconic Starukha Iz mountain.
Then trekking to the Limbeck pass, where we will camp for the night.
On the way after the rusting all-terrain vehicle, those who have the strength will be able to find excellent samples of quartz mined here on the slope of the trog.

Day 2 - Spare day
Reserve day (half-day trip with access to Bublik Lake and crossing the Kar-Kar pass in case of bad weather).

Day 3 - Radial exit to Narodnaya
08:00 Wake up.
Breakfast.
09:30 We climb light past the majestic foothills to the Bublik lake.
Further along the glacier we begin climbing the mountain of the People.
Lunch at the pass- the border of Europe and Asia.
Then we climb to the top and see the Ural Ridge not with big piles of kurumnik, but with really high and steep mountains!
The second point of our route is visible in the distance – Manaraga.
We descend through the plateau of the People, from where there is an amazing view of Lake bublik, the Kar-Kar pass and the upper part of the Manaragi valley.
20:00 Dinner.

Day 4 - Limbeck Pass. Swimming in the lake. Trekking
08:00 Wake up.
Breakfast.
Gathering of the camp.
10:00 We cross the Limbekoyu pass into the valley of the Limbekoyu River.
We climb to the 600 steps pass.
At the top there is a classic pass lake. Cozy, sheltered from the wind with sandy beaches.
We swim according to the weather and state of mind.
Then we go down along the thundering waterfalls.
There are so many of them that it feels like we are in the rainy Khamar-Daban, and not in the northern latitudes, in the circumpolar Urals.
Lunch on the banks of the Manaragi River.
Then trekking past the warm lakes to the parking lots on the shore opposite the city of Manaraga.
20:00 Dinner.

Day 5 - Radial exit to the city of Manaraga
08:00 Wake up.
Breakfast.
09:30 We climb light through the virgin forest to the high-altitude tundra and the pass on the shoulder of Manaragi.
Next, let's go up the steep hill.
A little climbing and we're at the extreme edge of the Bear's Paw.
We celebrate the ascent and admire the views.
We go down the climbing path, tired but happy.

Day 6 - The day
Alternate day (day trip), or (3.5 km route).
09:00 Wake up.
Breakfast.
We are relaxing and enjoying this activity.

15:00 tracking 3.5 km. before the confluence of the Kosyu and Manaragi rivers.
Camp and slipway.
Catamaran collection.

Day 7 - Rafting on the mountain part of the Spit
Rafting takes 4 days along the mountainous part of Kosyu and then, after the confluence of the Vangyr River, one day along the flat part to Kosyu station.
Surprisingly, despite the complete absence of traces of human presence during the entire rafting trip, there are 2 excellent baths on the route!
We will definitely visit one of them.

Day 10 - Rafting in the mountainous part of the Spit. Completion of the tour
Continuation of rafting along the Spit.
In the evening we arrive at the end point of the route, the village of Kosyu.
The scheduled arrival time is until 20:00 (08/05/2026).
Here we disassemble catamarans, dry and pack our equipment. The station is a 20-minute walk away, along with our equipment.

The hiking route is category 1A and will pass through swampy and rocky soils. The water route has a category 2 and will pass through a small number of thresholds of 3 km.s. These are relatively simple thresholds, but we will fully comply with the safety requirements for being on the water.

It's important to know

Necessarily:

backpack 85-110 liters (it is necessary to leave a reserve for general equipment of 25-30 liters);
a hermetic bag for the entire volume of the backpack. In addition, a small 3-5 liter hermetic bag is desirable for personal items "at hand".;
trekking poles;
Reftamide blue (or other effective) repellent, at least 1 bottle per person. Preferably 2 vials. Midges are likely;
a headlamp with a spare set of batteries;
personal documents and money in hermetic packaging;
Two plastic bottles for drinking water, you can have a hydrator;
hydrotapochki (hydronoski) neoprene.
