Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. Hunting for the Northern Lights (optional)
Arrival in Murmansk. Independent check-in at the hotel.
Choose any flight that is convenient for you. The hotel accommodates from 15:00.
22:00 Hunting for the Northern Lights is optional for an additional fee.
The tour takes place on the most favorable evening of the program.
The Northern Lights are rightfully considered one of the most amazing and beautiful natural phenomena: it is difficult to underestimate the beauty of the night sky, flooded with greenish, pink and scarlet light.
The Kola Peninsula is considered the most favorable place to observe the Aurora borealis in Russia, which can usually be seen from August to March.
The glow is especially noticeable far from the city. You will be accompanied by a guide who will tell you about the nature of the aurora borealis and the nuances of hunting! We wish you a clear sky!
Departure for the Northern Lights with a photographer – 5,000 rubles (entry at the time of booking the tour, payment on the spot).
Duration: 3-4 hours.
Route length: up to 200 km.

Day 2 - Teriberka — the edge of the earth
Breakfast at the place of residence (when choosing a rate with accommodation).
09:00 Departure for the program.
The path leads through several natural areas, fascinating views of the tundra.
The Pomor village of Teriberka is located in the Kola district of the Murmansk region, on the banks of the river of the same name.
The first mention of the camp dates back approximately to 1523.
The acclaimed film Leviathan by A. Zvyagintsev was shot in this village. The village is located 125 km from Murmansk.
On the way to Teriberka, we will make two landmark stops.
The largest wind farm in the Arctic Circle.
57 huge wind power plants have been installed here in the middle of the endless tundra of the Kola Peninsula. The height of one tower is 84 meters, each blade is 65 meters. The wind turbines were installed in such a way as to minimize the number of roads and the change in the natural landscape.
A high hill with seids.
The landscapes here are unique and amazing. In front of you, the tundra is in the palm of your hand, you can't see the edge. We will see seids – structures made of stones, built by the Sami, as a rule, in sacred places. And you must make a wish!
In Teriberka itself, you will find unique natural attractions, art objects and scenery from the filming of films and TV series.
During the tour, you will learn the history of the Teriberka settlement, see the present of the village and its future.:
you will see a beautiful waterfall that carries its stormy waters directly into the ocean, the purest lake;
During the snowy period, you will get to Battery Falls on a sled attached to a snowmobile.;
Depending on the weather, visit the Dragon Cave and definitely walk along the beach of stone dragon eggs. You will feel the real breath of the Arctic;
you will see a cemetery of old wooden ships, a former military airfield;
you will see the skeleton of a sperm whale;
take a walk along the beautiful Teriberki Bay. Stunning sandy beach and beached fishing boat, throne, swing and other facilities;
those who wish will taste the northernmost beer.
The harsh landscapes of the North, especially in winter, will surely leave a big mark on your soul!

Day 3 - Exploring the capital of the Arctic and Arctic cuisine
Breakfast at the place of residence, room release (when choosing a rate with accommodation).
Getting to know the capital of the Arctic! The largest city in the Arctic Circle, the base of the icebreaking fleet, the hero city, the sea gate of the Arctic.
Murmansk was founded only in 1916 and cannot boast of a large number of historical attractions. But still, it is an interesting and distinctive region, attracting the splendor of the harsh northern landscapes. There are many key moments in the history of the state associated with the city, so the city is interesting both aesthetically and historically.
On the sightseeing tour you will visit the main attractions:
memorial to submariners who died in peacetime;
Church of the Savior on the Waters;
lighthouse;
memorial of the Kursk nuclear submarine;
Memorial to the Defenders of the Soviet Arctic during the Second World War;
monument "Waiting";
The monument to the Defenders of the Arctic is the Alyosha Monument.
Excursion on the nuclear icebreaker "Lenin". The legendary giant ship with a nuclear installation, which had no analogues in the world before, was developed in the USSR in the 50s of the last century. It was used to provide navigation along the Northern Sea Route. Since 1989, the icebreaker, which has served for 30 years, has been permanently berthed in the seaport of Murmansk.
During the tour you will see the engine room, the mess hall, the canteen, the medical unit and other rooms.
At the end of the tour we will go to one of the best restaurants in the city.
A lunch inspired by the traditions of the Kola Peninsula that will take you on a gastronomic journey full of vibrant flavors and aromas.
In the menu:
strachatella with crab and salmon roe;
northern venison tartare with "birch bark";
scallops baked in a shell with seaweed;
fresh sea urchin;
olivier with crab;
deer fillet with mashed potatoes, fried wild mushrooms and pepper demiglas;
dessert "Stone beach";
warming collection "Tundra".
After a wonderful lunch, we will take you to the train station and the airport.

The route is serviced by minibuses or Sobol SUVs.

The tour is planned to visit all the main attractions of Teriberka. During the snowy period, we will travel to the coast on a sled attached to a snowmobile.

It's important to know

No special items are required, the route is simple, you need to be guided by the weather.

The standard set for the weather from mid-November:

a good warm hooded jacket (up to -15 °C/-20 °C), preferably well protected from the wind and ideally waterproof.;
It's very windy in Teriberka! Wrap yourself in a scarf or grab a ski mask.;
it is mandatory to have warm, preferably woolen, socks; gloves;
it is advisable to have a complete set of thermal underwear (top and bottom) (the presence of this set will make the trip more comfortable and enjoyable);
a fleece jacket;
additional batteries for your camera, phone, or video camera, as they drain very quickly in the cold.;
a personal first-aid kit with medicines for colds and fever, headache, stomach, as well as individual medicines if you take something regularly.
