Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Indel River

    08:00 Departure for the tour. Meeting at the former Atlantic Cinema (131a Kolsky Ave.).

    If the group arrives in Murmansk by train at 08:40, the departure time is adjusted to 09:00 (tourists leaving Kandalaksha will be notified in advance).

    There is a possibility of starting a tour from Kandalaksha. Meeting at the railway station at 10:00.

    Transfer Murmansk – Umba, then transfer to the starting point of the route – Indel river (85 km, travel time 5 hours).

    Preparing equipment, collecting catamarans, loading things.

    Lunch.

    Safety briefing.

    Short rafting on the Indel River (10 km).

    Dinner and overnight in the field.

This is a technically simple tour and is suitable for those who have not previously rafted on water, but it is worth considering that the tour is multi-day and in autonomous conditions. 

You must understand that there will be no communication, Internet and shops. It is possible to evacuate only in case of emergency with the help of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Overnight stays and meals in field conditions.

Personal equipment you need for the tour

For the bivouac:

  • comfortable shoes (you need to take something like sneakers and preferably not very wet ones);
  • forest trousers and jacket, thermal underwear, socks, gloves.

For the alloy:

  • comfortable shoes, ideally neoprene socks and sneakers on them, or rubber boots, you can put sneakers on a wool sock;
  • thermal underwear or a jacket and trousers;
  • middle layer: fleece or woolen jacket;
  • Top layer: maximum waterproof clothing with a hood;
  • be sure to bring a set (preferably even two) of replacement clothes and shoes, as well as a change of underwear;
  • headdress;
  • repellents;
