Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Monday. Ethnic program

    Breakfast at the hotel (depending on the selected rate).

    Departure for the excursion program from the hotel by bus:

    • 12:30 from the Iterra Hotel;
    • 12:45 from the Cosmos Hotel, 13:00 from the Komsomolskaya Street public transport stop (near the Glarus, Meridian, Azimuth hotels).

    At 14:00, the rich ethnic program of the day will introduce you to the life of the indigenous peoples of the Kola Peninsula.

    The Sami have been living in these territories for centuries and have always been engaged in reindeer husbandry, passing on traditions from the elders to the younger ones.

    Here you are:

    • Stroke their fluffy noses, find out how reindeer live, feed them with yagel from the palm of your hand and take vivid photos. They will tell you about the habits and character of reindeer, share their fishing skills, funny stories and interesting facts from the lives of their "horned" friends.
    • You'll become a little bit of a Sami. Try the national fish soup with northern cod and take part in the wish-making ceremony.
    • In the national dwelling (Kuvaks), you will warm yourself with delicious tea by the campfire and learn about the way of life and traditions of the indigenous Sami population.
    • Learn the ancient Sami ritual of making wishes.
