Itinerary

Day 1 - A city above the Volga and the Oka. Cable car ride
09:00 and 11:10 – meeting in the central hall of the Moscow railway station to the right of the main exit to the city near the Rospechat store.
Transfer to the hotel, things are handed over to the luggage room.
Self-check-in at the hotel after the tour.
11:45 Gathering in the lobby of the hotel for an excursion (it is possible to change the time of collection, the time is specified at the meeting).
Bus and pedestrian sightseeing tour of Nizhny Novgorod "The city above the Volga and the Oka" (duration 4.5 hours).
During a sightseeing bus and walking tour of Nizhny Novgorod, you will get acquainted with the history of the city, founded eight centuries ago.
You will see the main sights of Nizhny Novgorod: the Chkalovskaya Staircase, the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the monument to M. Gorky, etc., visit the Stroganov (Christmas) Church, an architectural monument of the XVII century.
You will drive through historical streets that have preserved their beauty and former greatness: Malaya Pokrovskaya, Rozhdestvenskaya, Ilyinskaya, Verkhnevolzhskaya and Nizhnevolzhskaya embankments, visit Minin and Pozharsky Squares, Gorky Square, Sennaya, etc., visit the observation decks, from where you can enjoy "breathtaking" views of the river part of the city.

Walking tour of Nizhny Novgorod.
Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street is the main street of Nizhny Novgorod.
Today, strolling street has turned into a real museum, paved with paving stones and granite, full of cafeterias, restaurants, shops, a street with ancient mansions and manors, which is opened by a bronze policeman, inviting tourists to marvel at the beauty of the ancient city.
Rozhdestvenskaya Street is one of the oldest and most beautiful in Nizhny Novgorod.
There are many large and beautiful stone houses preserved here, the history of which begins in the middle of the XVIII century.
The main attraction of the street is the Nativity Church.
The street connects the National Unity Square in front of the Kremlin with the square in front of the Annunciation Monastery.
13:00 The tour ends at Rozhdestvenskaya Street – free time, tourists get to the hotel on their own.

Day 4 - Excursion to Diveevo and Arzamas

The main focus of the religious buildings of Arzamas is located on Cathedral Square, it is not for nothing that it is so called.

Transfer to Diveevo.
Visit to the Holy Trinity Serafimo-Diveevsky Convent.
You will walk through the territory of the Diveevsky monastery, get acquainted with its history and customs in the monastery.
Then you will visit the Trinity Cathedral, where the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov are kept, and the Transfiguration Cathedral.

After that, you will have a trip to the spring (Kazan or Mother Alexandra), a set of holy water, bathing in the spring (optional).
For bathing, you need a cotton shirt (for women), a shirt (for men).

Day 5 - Gorokhovets is a museum city

Seven of the twenty surviving buildings of merchant chambers throughout Russia have been preserved in the city.
Excursion to the Gorokhovets Historical and Architectural Museum.
The house itself is a unique monument of architecture of the XVII century, an amazing example of civil engineering in pre-Petrine Russia.
The museum exhibits tell about the way of merchant life, the interiors of that time are recreated here: the master rooms, the red chamber, the basement, the Gorokhovetsky toy, carvings, needlework and much more.
Excursion to the chambers of the King of Peas.
The house of M.I. Shorin, also known as the "Chambers of the Tsar of the Peas" is a wooden mansion that is representative of the most colorful works of Gorokhovets Art Nouveau and Neo-Russian style.
The architect came up with an incredible wooden tower in shape, which contained several architectural directions at once.
Built at the beginning of the last century, it belonged to the manufacturer and shipbuilder Mikhail Ivanovich Shorin, a man of business and acumen.
Today, the House of Folk Art and Crafts is located within the walls of the house of the manufacturer Shorin.
Exhibitions of objects of the past and exhibits of decorative and applied art, made by Gorokhovets craftsmen, are held here.

Day 7 - Gorodets is the oldest city in the Nizhny Novgorod region
