During our trip, we will stop in the village of Zadushnoye, where the Holy Spirits Monastery stands on the high bank of the Zusha.
It is one of the oldest Orthodox monasteries in Russia and is located on the so-called "Lithuanian Gentry", along which hordes of invaders and robbers came from the West to Russia.
This has led to its important strategic importance in the past.
The Holy Spirit Monastery was first documented in 1619, but according to legend, it was founded in the 12th century by Hieromonk Abraham, a disciple of the Holy Martyr Kuksha.
The monastery looks spectacular from the surface of the river, reflected in the waters of the Zusha.
We will enjoy the scenery around us, looking at the limestone outcrops and picturesque slopes along the shores, swimming on the rocky beaches.
