An ancient wooden tent-type mill is lost in the fields of the Novgorod region. This unique monument of wooden architecture was created in 1924 by a local resident. After serving for many years, it was subsequently transferred to the state. Now a museum of local lore has been opened here.

For those who wish, there is a guided tour of the windmill with a climb up and an inspection of the mechanism.

We will have an exceptional opportunity to visit the interior of the mill, see the preserved grain grinding mechanism, and learn how it works.

Also on three floors of the mill there are expositions telling about the life of the Pomors, the ancient inhabitants of these lands, about peasant life in later times, about the role of the mill in the Soviet years.

Transfer to Korostyn, a village on the high shore of Lake Ilmen.

    Sightseeing.

The shore of the lake is formed by Ilmen clay, a layer of the prehistoric Devonian period.

Here, against the backdrop of wondrous nature, the Grand Duke of Moscow Ivan III met the Novgorodians who arrived on the surrender ships and concluded the fateful Korostyn Treaty with them, which determined the creation of a single centralized state in Russia. The Assumption Church was built here at the end of 1720.

There are nine mineral springs (chloride-calcium-sodium) on the territory of the resort. Two springs with low mineralization are combined in a drinking gallery.

A wonderful tour with a rich and engaging itinerary. Our guide, Svetlana, was very responsible and did an excellent job, explaining everything in detail. I was pleased with both the hotels and the food. Adding extra lunches was a great decision; it made everything more convenient, and I especially enjoyed the Pomor-style lunch at the Pomor restaurant. The transportation was also comfortable and reliable.
