Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Ryazan Kremlin. Excursion to the homeland of the great poet S.A. Yesenin in the village of Konstantinovo

The group will gather from 07:45 on the platform of the Kotelniki metro station, near the first carriage from the center.

He is greeted by the manager of the company with a sign with the name of the tour.

Departure from Moscow to Ryazan by bus at 08:00.

The waiting time for latecomers is no more than 5 minutes.

Ryazan is one of the oldest cities in Central Russia. Ryazan was originally the name of a city located 50 kilometers from modern Ryazan, but it was completely destroyed by the Mongol-Tatars in the 13th century.

The city on the site of modern Ryazan was founded in 1095 and was called the city of Pereyaslavl (it was renamed Ryazan only under Catherine II), and the former ruined capital of the principality began to be called Old Ryazan.

Ryazan was also the name of the entire surrounding land. But once upon a time, she argued with Moscow with her wealth and power. Much of the beauty and grandeur of the past has been preserved to this day.

Let's make sure of this by taking a city tour: the Kremlin; Cathedral Square with a monument to Oleg Ryazansky; Gostiny Dvor; the building of the Noble Assembly of the Ryazan province; monuments to Yevpaty Kolovrat; the great poet Sergei Yesenin, etc

Let's take a walk through the central park

In the Lower Garden of the park there is a sculptural composition "Mushrooms with eyes", in the Upper Garden there is a monument to the most famous native of Ryazan province, Sergei Yesenin. Of course, we'll take a photo to remember our stay in Ryazan!

Undoubtedly, the pearl of the city is the Ryazan Kremlin— the historical, ancient core of Ryazan.

The Kremlin's earthen ramparts offer stunning views of the city and the vast expanse of the river.  Throughout its history, the Kremlin has been rebuilt several times and over time a whole complex of remarkable monuments of ancient Russian culture and architecture has developed here.

We will walk around the Kremlin, admire the majestic Assumption Cathedral, built according to the project of the Russian architect Ya. Bukhvostova in the XVII century.

The height of the cathedral is 72 m, and it is the dominant feature of the entire architectural complex of the Kremlin. We will get acquainted with other objects of the Kremlin — the Singing Building of the Vladychny Dvor, the Cherni Hotel, the two-headed Church of the Holy Spirit, etc.

Let's return to the Cathedral Park, where architectural and memorial sites are located on a small plot: the monument to Sergei Yesenin, the Church of the Savior on Yar (17th century), St. Elijah's Cathedral, the chapel of the 900th anniversary of Ryazan.

After the tour, we will go to a cafe in the city for lunch.

Next, we will go "To the land of birch calico" — to the birthplace of the great poet S.A. Yesenin in the village of Konstantinovo (43 km from Ryazan).

There are many places in Russia where you can feel the presence of a real Russian soul. One of these is the village of Konstantinovo, the birthplace of the outstanding Russian poet Sergei Yesenin. The small village is located on the high right bank of the Oka River and stretches along the river for almost three kilometers.

The nature in this place is amazingly beautiful at any time of the year. From here, an immense expanse of water meadows opens up, and the forests of Meshchera can be seen on the horizon.

During our excursion to the poet's homeland, we will visit the following expositions: the Memorial Estate of S.A. Yesenin's parents, the Priest's House of I.Ya. Smirnov, the Zemstvo School, the Estate of L.I. Kashina, the Museum of the poem "Anna Snegina", the Literary Museum, the Carriage Yard.

The picturesque nature of the village and its surroundings will not leave anyone indifferent.

When you get to Konstantinovo, you realize that a POET could not have been born here.

After the end of the tour service, we return to Ryazan and check into the Forum 4* hotel.

Dinner (optional) at the hotel restaurant for an additional fee of 650 rubles.

My daughter and I took the St. Petersburg Collection tour for 7 days, and I highly recommend it for first-time visitors to the city like us. The tour is well-designed, allowing you to see the main attractions in a short period of time. A great advantage is that you can join on any day. Everything was well-organized—excellent guides, comfortable buses, and provided radio headsets for better communication. There were no delays or long waits. The schedule was planned in a way that left plenty of free time in the evenings for walks or additional sightseeing. The tour package includes hotel accommodation, with several options to choose from. I stayed at the Rossiya Hotel near Pobeda Park and was very satisfied. The rooms were clean, with daily housekeeping, fresh towels, and air conditioning—which was perfect given the pleasant temperatures of 24–30°C during our stay. A buffet breakfast was included—simple but sufficient to start the day. It was really convenient, as we would bring a small snack for the day and have dinner somewhere in central St. Petersburg. The hotel is within walking distance of the blue metro line, making it easy to reach the city center without transfers. There’s also a supermarket nearby, along with plenty of street food options. It’s also worth mentioning that additional excursions are available. We took a boat trip to the forts of Kronstadt and joined a nighttime tour to see the city's famous drawbridges—both were unforgettable experiences
