We will go to a picturesque village on the steep bank of the Oka River: it was here that Sergei Yesenin was born on October 3, 1895 at the end of the 19th century, and his childhood and youth were spent here.

We will visit the memorial estate of S. A. Yesenin's parents, cross the threshold of the "golden log hut"; we will see a farmyard, a private plot, a small vegetable garden and a garden.

We will learn many interesting facts about the poet's life and work in the House of the priest I. Ya. Smirnov and in the Zemstvo school.:

A walk through the village of Konstantinovo.

In Konstantinov, we will visit the white-stone church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and go out to the picturesque bank of the Oka River.

You will be able to see the same Russian expanses that Yesenin saw and which inspired him so much.

We will make a stop in the village of Fedyakino, which is the birthplace of the Yesenin family.

The poet's namesakes still live here.

In 1881, a zemstvo primary school was opened in the village. The new two-storey red brick building was built in 1915, and it still exists today. Here, in 1918, Yesenin read his poems to fellow countrymen during an amateur performance concert.

Next, our way lies to the railway station Divovo — this is a memorable historical place associated with the life of S. A. Yesenin.

Back in 1912, 17-year-old Yesenin boarded a train and went to Moscow. Throughout his life, Sergei Alexandrovich came to his native village of Konstantinovo many times, and invariably stayed here at Divovo station. She was for him a part of the road that led him to his native village, to his native places, to the warmth of his native hearth. To mark the 110th anniversary of S. A. Yesenin's birth, a monument to the poet was erected at Divovo station.

We will make a stop in the village of Divovo.

Once upon a time, Major General Nikolai Andrianovich Divova, a participant in the Battle of Borodino, built the famous Oryol trotters stud farm on his estate. Now only the minaret has been preserved from the manor house — one of the most amazing sights of the Ryazan region.

Since 1960, the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Horse Breeding, the world's only scientific center for horse breeding, has been located on the site of the stud farm.

Transfer to Solotcha.

Solotcha is the gateway to Meschera. 20 km from Ryazan is a resort village, whose history dates back to the 14th century.

The ancient history, rich cultural traditions, and unique nature of Ryazan Meshchera attracted the attention of Russian writers.

Sergei Yesenin repeatedly visited the village of Solotcha and the territory of the modern Solotcha Convent in 1912-1913, traveling along the narrow-gauge railway.

There are many old wooden houses in Solotcha with carved porches and stained glass windows.

On one of the streets stands a house that belonged at the end of the 19th century to the famous artist-engraver academician I. P. Zhalostin.

This house was visited at various times by V. V. Veresaev, K. G. Paustovsky, A. P. Gaidar, A. A. Fadeev, K. M. Simonov, V. S. Grossman, F. I. Panferov, A. I. Solzhenitsyn, V. T. Shalamov.

Transfer (54 km) to the town of Spas Klepiki— the second spiritual homeland of S. Yesenin.

On the way, we will make a stop in the village of Laskovo, the birthplace of the legendary Fevronia. It was from here that Prince Peter of Murom took her to his city to get married there. We will see the monument to Peter and Fevronia, opened in 2019.

In the village of Spas Klepiki, we will visit a school where S. Yesenin studied in 1909-1912.

The school is now a branch of the Yesenin State Museum-Reserve. The exhibition tells about the education system in pre-revolutionary Russia. It is here that Yesenin shows his poetic talent and enters the literary path with the light hand of the literature teacher E. M. Khitrov.

Yeseninskaya Ryazan walking tour.

We will take a walk along the Ryazan Arbat, Pochtovaya Street and Sobornaya Street, rich in ancient buildings.

Visit to the Pirogov Brothers Museum.

We will visit the house decorated with delicate carvings, where the famous opera singers the Pirogov brothers lived. Being the sons of a Ryazan carpenter, they glorified the Russian opera art all over the world. Some parts in their performance have remained unsurpassed.

In the museum we will be able to get acquainted with the extraordinary fate of this Ryazan family.

Transfer to Poshchupovo.

An inspection of the St. John the Theologian Monastery, which Sergei Yesenin visited more than once.

This is one of the oldest Russian monasteries. It is believed that the monastery was founded in the late 12th or early 13th century by Greek missionary monks who brought with them the miraculous icon of the Apostle John, painted in the 6th century in Byzantium by an orphan boy.

This image became the main shrine of the Theological monastery. The bell tower of the monastery, erected in 1901, is considered the tallest in the Ryazan region.

Nikitinsky Manor (in the summer season).

We will make a stop in the ancient village of Kostino.

At the end of the 19th century, a magnificent manor was built here for the Nikitinsky family. Nikolai Yakovlevich Nikitinsky, an outstanding breeder, was named the "potato king of the Russian Empire" during his lifetime. Let's see what remains of the once luxurious manor.

According to the memoirs of Natalia Nikolaevna, the breeder's daughter, S. A. Yesenin visited the estate.

The Church of Cosmas and Damian.

Another stop is in the village of Letovo near the Church of Cosmas and Damian.

For the first time, the wooden Kosmodemyanskaya church was mentioned in salary books for 1676. The stone church was built in 1900-1902 at the expense of the Yaroslavl philistine Ignaty Verevkin.

Fr. served in this church from December 1959 to June 1962. Russian Russian Orthodox clergyman John Krestyankin, one of the most revered elders of the Russian Orthodox Church in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
