Getting to know Sakhalin

09:00 Departure from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk by bus.

The journey time with stops is about 3 hours, 143 km in one direction.

On the way, we will visit the Amber coast, where the sea throws out amber.

Sakhalin has its own special type of amber – requenide.

Next, we will stop by to see the Japanese Torii gate, which was installed in front of Shinto temples.

An intermediate stop in the village of Vzmorye, where you can buy freshly caught crabs (boiled).

Arrival at Tikhaya Bay.

Tikhaya Bay is an extremely picturesque and amazing place, which is located in the Gulf of Patience, on the eastern coast of Sakhalin.

The first Russian navigator Ivan Kruzenshtern called the bay "quiet".

Sea rose hips, thermopsis, aralia, mertensia and other vegetation grow on the territory of the bay.

A walk along the coast — lagoons, grottoes, gorges and of course the Bird Market on the island of "Noticeable".

Go up to the sea terraces, there is a magnificent panorama of the surroundings of the bay.

Lunch – traditional Korean Hemultan soup, freshly boiled crab, caviar, Far Eastern salads (Sakhalin wild plants), various snacks and Sakhalin tea with herbs and berries.

Rest.

In the evening, return to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (approximate time of return at 19:00).

The journey time is about 3 hours (100 km one way, difficult road) with stops at observation decks.

Walking along the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk – magnificent stone arches, columns and kekurs created by wind and sea waves, grottoes and bird bazaars of amazing beauty.

Lunch – fish soup, snacks, Far Eastern salads and of course real Sakhalin tea.

Free time.

Return to the hotel in the evening.

08:00 Departure from Yuzhno - Sakhalinsk the route length is about 150 km.

Attractions: the oldest Russian settlement of Sakhalin Korsakov, the site of the founding of the Muravyevsky post (1853), the observation deck "Cliff" memorial sign to the cruiser "Novik", the remains of the Japanese temple of Mary Hachiman Jinja, Russia's first LNG plant, Vavaisky Lakes.

Upon arrival, visit the oyster jar (on a rowing catamaran).

A delicious seafood lunch, baked and raw oysters, fish soup cooked over a campfire and everything that we can find and collect in the lake.

During the tour you will see a unique lake (lagoon) Busse and Aniva Bay.

Visit an oyster jar and see how giant Sakhalin oysters live in their natural environment.

You will see scallops and sea urchins, as well as the island of seals, you will have the opportunity to observe these animals.

We will show you where the spizula shell and the grass shrimp live.

You will taste the freshest Sakhalin seafood prepared by our chef.

The Aniva Lighthouse was established in 1939 on a small Sivuchya rock, near the inaccessible rocky cape Aniva.

This area is full of currents, frequent fogs, underwater rocky banks.

The height of the tower is 31 meters, the height of the light is 40 meters above sea level.

06:00 Departure from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk travel time is about two hours (about 120 km. one way).

Our route passes through the port city of Korsakov, where you can see the island port.

Not far from Korsakov, Russia's first natural gas liquefaction plant and the Prigorodnoye port are located, where huge gas carriers come to refuel.

Next, you will discover wonderful views of the coast of the Aniva Bay and the lake of the lagoon "Busse", one of the most unique places in Sakhalin.

Arrival in the village of Novikovo, safety briefing, boarding large motorboats and departure to the Aniva lighthouse.

The most interesting part of the route begins.

Along the way, we will stop near the most beautiful rocks of the Aniva Peninsula, from which waterfalls fall.

The purest waters of the Sea of Japan will allow you to see marine mammals and fish.

Along the way, you can often meet numerous seals, and in early summer there are killer whales and sea lions.

Arrival at the Aniva Lighthouse.

In good weather, disembarkation from boats is possible.

You will be able to go inside the lighthouse and see with your own eyes how everything was arranged inside.

Climb to the very top, from where you can enjoy stunning views of the two coasts of Sakhalin, washed by the Sea of Okhotsk and the Sea of Japan.

Transfer to Cape Marble, which is located 16 km north of Cape Aniva.

Everyone can visit the White Stone – an interesting pile of white stones among the black rocks.

The way back to the village of Novikovo, where you transfer to a car and go to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

On the territory of the village of Vesochka, 17 km from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, there is one of the most mysterious places in Russia — the rocky outlier "Frog".

The Frog Rock is part of a ridge of rocks built one after another, like the planets of the Solar system.

It was once the bottom of an ancient sea, and fossilized shells can be found in its vicinity.

From the top of the cliff there are amazing views of the Aniva Bay, the Tunaycha and Changeable lakes.

Among the ancient Ainu, the Frog Rock was a temple of wisdom and a place of rituals, and the outlier itself was complemented by a dolmen-type stone building.

It is believed that the area of Vesti and the Frog is the energy center of Sakhalin, a place of power.

10:00 Departure from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

11:00 Arrival in the village. A message, an exit to the route along an ecological trail equipped with information boards telling about the geology of this place, growing plants, and various explanations for tourists.

The journey time will be about 30-40 minutes.

Sakhalin nature will delight you with its beauty.
