Please keep in mind that check-in at the hotel is at 14:00. Early check-in can be booked and paid in advance, if necessary.

Day 2 -
The bay is Quiet. The island Is Noticeable. The eastern coast of the Sea of Okhotsk

09:00 Departure from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk by bus. Travel time with stops is approximately 3 hours, 135 km, paved federal highway.
On the way, we will stop at the amber coast and collect amber, watch the seals resting on the rocks.
We will visit the Japanese Torii gates of the Karafuto governorate period, which were installed in front of Shinto temples.
Tikhaya Bay is located on the eastern coast of the Sea of Okhotsk. A small bay of great impressions.
A walk along the coast and along the sea terraces will fill you to the brim with impressions – lagoons, black caves, bizarre rock remnants, amazing herbs, maddening spicy smells and, of course, amazing views of the island and the beautiful Zhdanko ridge.
After the walk, you will have a hot gastronomic lunch – delicious Sakhalin fish soup with red fish, Far Eastern delicacies, caviar, tea with herbs, Sakhalin sweets.

Boat trip. The Chirip Peninsula. White rocks. The Sea of Okhotsk

During the boat trip, you will see the most beautiful landscapes of the Chirip Peninsula, picturesque lava shores, grottos, Cape Chirip and Cape Spur, bird markets, sea lions, antura seals resting impressively on the rocks, a rare marine animal with outlandish colors, and a high probability of meeting whales.
Then go to the White Cliffs.
A boat trip along the White Cliffs is a wonderful opportunity to see this unique natural site from the sea.

The White Cliffs are located on the southern shore of the Gulf of Prostor, the Sea of Okhotsk.

Cape Bird and Cape Giant, the southeastern coast of the Sea of Okhotsk. Jeep Tour

The journey time is 3 hours, during which we will travel 100 km, the first half of the way is a federal paved highway, the second half of the way is a difficult road through the pass.
After Okhotsk, rush along the seashore, then through the Sakhalin taiga through the pass, and in front of you soar majestic stone arches, columns and kekurs-giants created by wind and sea waves.

What documents are required to obtain a pass to the Kuril Islands?
Documents are required to obtain a pass to the Kuril Islands:
a copy of the Russian passport with a residence permit (for adults) for citizens of the Russian Federation;
children under 14 years of age (a copy of the birth certificate);
a copy of the passport and a copy of the visa to the Russian Federation for foreign citizens.

Are there any possible changes in the program?
The routes and their sequence can be adjusted depending on the weather conditions, which are extremely variable on Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands, significantly affecting the entire course of the program, and the actual departure/arrival time of the aircraft and arrival / departure of the ship.
The flight schedule for the 2026 season will be released in March, after which routes on flight days can be adjusted.
What are the recommendations for arrival and departure?
Arrival by flight at 09:00 or 12:00/12:30. The next flight arrives at 15:00 and then you will not get on the sightseeing tour on the first day.
It is also possible to arrive a day earlier. Recommended for those who do not tolerate the road well. Since the flight is 8 hours and the eight—hour difference is quite a heavy burden for some.
