The creator of the Golden Ring route, Yuri Bychkov, called it a "Sweet Museum. The city is unique" and noted with surprise that there are a lot of people here and the city is very popular.

The main attraction of Suzdal is the Suzdal Kremlin with a visit to the Bogoroditse-Rozhdestvensky Cathedral. According to archaeological data, the Suzdal Kremlin has existed since the 10th century. Bogoroditse-Rozhdestvensky Cathedral is one of the few temples of the pre-Mongol period, a rare architectural monument of Vladimir-Suzdal architecture that has survived to our time.;
The Pokrovsky Monastery (from the observation deck) is a women's monastery that holds many secrets. In the 16th century, it served as a place of exile for disgraced tsars and women of noble boyar families.
What is the ancient city of Suzdal famous for all over the world? Of course, "Suzdal mead". A visit to the tasting room "Suzdal mead" with an introduction to the history of mead, what varieties it was made in Russia, how it was drunk, how much and when.

Day 2 - Kostroma and the Cheese Museum, Volgorechensk Fisheries

Sightseeing tour of Kostroma, the most beautiful city on the Volga, one of the pearls of the Golden Ring.
The ancient merchant city, which has preserved to this day the original appearance of the architectural ensemble of the XVIII century, will lift the veil of mystery of its unique history.

a beautifully preserved ensemble of Shopping malls, which are still in service.
Kostroma is the cradle of the Romanov dynasty. It was in the Ipatievsky monastery in Kostroma that Mikhail Fedorovich Romanov hid from Godunov's disgrace. Ipatievsky Monastery is the main symbol of Kostroma.
An inspection of the territory of the recreated Kostroma Kremlin, where the miraculous icon of the Fedorovskaya Mother of God is kept in the Epiphany Cathedral. It was written around 1239 and is famous for its great miracles and healings.
This is the oldest work of icon painting in Kostroma. The icon has long been revered as the defender of the city and the guardian of the Romanov family.
What an association arises with the word "Kostroma", of course cheese!
Kostroma is famous for its cheeses, which is why it has rightfully received the title of the cheese capital of Russia!
Visit to the "Cheese Museum" with a tasting of Kostroma cheeses. The cheese sommelier, a well-known cheese specialist in narrow circles, will guide the guests through the halls of the ancient mansion, constantly telling them about the most mysterious, amazing and unexpected cheese stories.
You will learn how and where the first cheese appeared, see and even be able to touch ancient and modern cheese making devices, laugh at cheese fun, discover a whole world called "Cheese".

Once in the Tasting Cellar, you can taste 5 different varieties of Kostroma cheeses, from soft to semi-hard.
Everything is according to the rules and indisputable cheese laws with a glass of fragrant wine (juice for children), bunches of grapes and nuts.

Departure to Volgorechensk.
Excursion to the Volgorechensk fishery. It is the largest Russian producer of fish products, operating on the market for over 30 years. The product range includes sturgeon fish, carp and trout.
The company gained fame due to the production of high-quality black caviar of its own production.
The first part of the tour is a swimming pool area for commercial fish farming (under the open sky). They will tell about the history of the establishment of the farm, show the fish that are grown.
The second part of the tour (in the complex under the roof) is a place where fish are grown all year round in closed–circuit water supply installations. Get acquainted with the incubation process of sturgeon and trout caviar. You will visit the larval-fry complex.
You will see with your own eyes how the juveniles are raised.

Day 3 - Rostov the Great and Pereslavl-Zalessky with a tasting of ryapushka. Return to Moscow

Sightseeing tour of Pereslavl-Zalessky, one of the cities of the famous Golden Ring route.
The heart of Pereslavl is Red Square, which is several centuries older than the famous Moscow namesake. A living confirmation of local antiquity is the Transfiguration Cathedral, founded by Yuri Dolgoruky in 1152. This is the oldest building in Northeastern Russia that has survived to the present day.
Gastronomic program at the Museum "The Kingdom of the Grouse", dedicated to the famous grouse fish, which adorns the coat of arms of the city and is popularly called the "royal herring".

Many thanks to “Big Country” for this wonderful tour. The entire trip was organized exceptionally well: the hotels, meals, and transportation were all excellent. But the real highlight of the journey was our tour guide, Denis!!! Honestly, without him the trip would not have been nearly as memorable. Visiting so many churches and historical sites without meaningful context would have quickly become monotonous. Most of the local guides simply rushed through the program with dry facts and dates, almost like a school lecture. Denis, however, made everything come alive. Even before we arrived at each destination, he was already sharing fascinating stories and background information on the bus, which helped us appreciate the places so much more once we got there. Not a single person was late for the bus in the mornings! Everyone was eager not to miss his stories!!! He has an incredible knowledge of the history and geography of the region, and he could make even the scenery outside the window interesting!!! Listening to him never felt tiring because he spoke with such enthusiasm and passion!!! For the last two days we had a different guide, and the contrast was huge - unfortunately, it just wasn’t engaging at all. To sum it up: excellent organization, comfortable travel conditions, and an outstanding guide like Denis made this trip truly special!!! I only wish there were more professionals like him.
