Visit to the estate of M. I. Glinka (120 km. from Smolensk). In 1804, a boy was born in the village of Novospasskoye. The legend says: As soon as the boy was born, a nightingale began to sing outside the window.

Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka went down in history as the founder of Russian classical music.

Glinka spent his childhood here in Novospassky, where he received his first musical impressions, learned the beauty of Russian folk songs, and worked on his immortal works.

The Glinka Estate Museum in Novospassky is the only memorial museum of the composer in the world, opened in May 1982. Now it is one of the cultural and historical centers of the Smolensk region.

12:00 Visit to the museum-estate of A. T. Tvardovsky with an interactive program "Tea party with Vasily Terkin" (to be held with a group of 10 people or more).

Zagorye farm is the small homeland of A. T. Tvardovsky.

The poet always spoke of his native lands with special warmth, because here he wrote his first poems, absorbed the love for this "sour, podzolic, stingy and unkind, but our land."

In 1988, on the eve of the poet's birthday, the A. Tvardovsky Memorial Museum was opened. From the opening day to the present day, the manor museum welcomes guests and admirers of the great poet's work.

Vasily Terkin will greet the guests with his cheerful accordion, songs and poems, and a delicious addition will be fresh rustic bread and homemade jam with fragrant tea.

Excursion to the historical and architectural complex "Teremok" (located 18 km away from Smolensk).

At the end of the 19th century, the estate of the famous philanthropist, collector and artist Maria Klavdieva Tenisheva became a cultural and artistic center where I. E. Repin, M. A. Vrubel, K. A. Korovin, S. Malyutin, A. N. Benois and others created their masterpieces.

Now all guests of the princely estate can visit the "Teremok", designed by S.V. Malyutin, which, with its fantastic paintings, resembles a house that descended from the pages of good old fairy tales.

In the "Teremka" you can see the products of the Talashkin workshops, furniture made according to sketches by S. V. Malyutin, watercolors by M. A. Vrubel, ceramics by N.K. Roerich and painted balalaika, which made a splash at the 1907 World's Fair in Paris. And the first matryoshka doll was painted here.

Based on the sketches of Nicholas Roerich, a smalt mosaic "Savior Not Made with Hands" was created above the portal of the Church of the Holy Spirit.

The building of the former agricultural school, which is also visited by guests, has been preserved on the farm, a classroom where peasant children were taught has been restored, and objects of folk and applied art are presented.

08:00 Departure for excursions to Smolenskoye Poozerye National Park.

09:45 Walk along the ecological trail along Lake Baklanovskoye. The length of the eco-trail is about 1 km. A scenic route along the lake with stops, vivid photos, and stories about the flora and fauna of the park.

At one of the stops, you can listen to the sounds of the forest, learn how the trees "sing" and feel the touch of nature.

And then you will visit the ethnic village "Stargrad" with a tour of the museum exposition of the early Middle Ages.

12:00 Visit to the N. M. Przhevalsky Museum house. The name of Nikolai Mikhailovich Przhevalsky occupies a special place in the brilliant constellation of Central Asian researchers.

Przhevalsky was born in the Smolensk region, in the Kimborovo estate of the Yelninsky district. And in 1881, he acquired an estate in the village of Sloboda, now a village. Przhevalskoe.

The museum's guests find themselves in the atmosphere that surrounded Przhevalsky in the last months of his life – all the memorial rooms have been carefully recreated based on preserved archival documents.

The most precious exhibit of the museum is Przewalski's last autograph.

This is an authentic piece of a wooden column of his house, on which, in the hand of Nikolai Mikhailovich, on the day of departure on his last trip, it is written in red pencil: "August 5, 1888. Goodbye, Sloboda!"

After the museum, we will take a walk to Lake Sapsho, which was what Nikolai Przhevalsky, an outstanding traveler and geographer from the Smolensk region, called "Baikal in miniature."

13:45 Lunch with a tasting of the Sapsho cake – named after Lake Sapsho, on the shore of which stands the village of Przhevalskoye.

You will also get to know the Przewalski horses, named after the famous traveler N. M. Przewalski. Take a carrot or an apple with you, the horses can be fed.
