Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival in Yekaterinburg. The Museum of the History of Yekaterinburg, a sightseeing tour of the city and the Center for the History of Stone cutting

    All the most interesting things about the city of Yekaterinburg: why Tatishchev began to build a fortress-factory, but did not build the city, after whom the city got its name, what secrets are kept in the dungeons of merchant mansions.

    Strolling along the paths of the Historical Park, the guests of the city do not suspect that about 300 years ago the history of Yekaterinburg was born here, the factory hum and the rumble of a hammer were heard. 

    Here, on one side of the dam, a City pond was formed, and on the other, an ironworks was built – at that time one of the largest in Russia and in Europe! 

    17:00-18:20 Visit to the A. K. Denisov-Uralsky Stone Carving History Center. 

    Excursion "Demidovsky malachite" with an entertaining master class, during which you will get acquainted with the technique of grinding and engraving Ural stone and, of course, leave yourself a memorable souvenir! 

    19:00 Gastro-dinner "Ural cuisine" in the central restaurant of the city (for an additional fee). 

    On the first day of the excursion, you will have a unique opportunity to taste real Ural dishes. 

    You will feel the bright interweaving of culinary traditions, because here, on the border of Europe and Asia, Tatar, Kazakh, Bashkir, Slavic, Finno-Ugric customs have mixed, which have brought Ural cuisine to a new level.

Personal equipment you need for the tour
  • take comfortable hiking shoes, windproof clothes/raincoat in autumn;

  • funds for the purchase of souvenirs and sweets: our region is famous for cones in chocolate, "Sverdlovsk ginger", products made of Ural stones and minerals, and, of course, modern merch;
  • when visiting an excursion to NTMK EVRAZ, you must have an identity document with you, for safety reasons it is forbidden to visit the workshop in shorts and skirts, always in trousers / jeans and socks; those who wear lenses are recommended to change them for glasses after visiting the workshop due to possible dust and discomfort in the eyes, for personal safety, it is forbidden to visit the workshop for persons with a violation of the musculoskeletal system and central nervous system;
  • When visiting churches and temples, women need to have a headscarf on their head, and clothes should cover their shoulders and knees. Men are not allowed to visit churches and temples in shorts and tracksuits. The tour program includes a stop at the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker (Byngi village);
  • the number of rooms in the hotels along the route meets European standards and has personal hygiene products and a hairdryer;
