Day 1 - Departure from Yaroslavl. Krasny Profintern — Vyatskoye — Svyato-Vvedensky Tolga Monastery

11:15 Transfer to Krasny Profintern settlement.
Lugovoi tract: following in the footsteps of Nekrasov, merchants and legends.
Lugovoy Tract is an ancient road that Minin and Pozharsky, young Mikhail Romanov and Fyodor Dostoevsky walked along. Nekrasov and Ostrovsky mentioned it, and somewhere here, according to legend, Grandfather Mazai saved the hares. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of ancient villages, merchant castles and lively Russian poetry.
The castle of the "starch-treacle kings" — merchants Ponizovkins.
The real decoration of the Meadow tract is the Castle of the Ponizovkin merchants in the village. The Red Profintern. A luxurious mansion in the Art Nouveau and neo—Gothic style is a symbol of former greatness. There was a lot of life here: factories, a "sweet" railway and even a racing car among the village huts. Visit to the women's Holy Vvedensky Tolga Monastery, founded at the beginning of the 14th century on the site of the miraculous icon of the Tolga Mother of God.
The monastery is famous for its beauty, majestic temples of the XVI-XVII centuries, amazingly beautiful views of the Volga, a sacred cedar grove, and a large female monastic community.

Day 2 - Yaroslavl — Rybinsk — Uglich

You will see the arrow of the Volga and Kotorosli rivers — the place where Yaroslavl began.;
take a walk along the picturesque Volga embankment, explore the Assumption Cathedral, recreated for the 1000th anniversary of the city.;
admire the unique architectural ensemble of the central part of Yaroslavl (under UNESCO protection) and its pearls — churches of the 17th century (one of which is the Church of Elijah the Prophet);
You will listen to stories about the first Russian theater, walk through the streets where the heroes of famous Soviet and Russian films walked.
Departure to Rybinsk.

Sightseeing tour of Rybinsk, a city lost in time at the confluence of three rivers, famous for Russia's largest reservoir.

Uglich is one of the oldest cities in Russia, which preserves the secrets of the Rurik dynasty, is famous for its excellent examples of Russian architecture and unique monuments of nature and architecture.
Sightseeing tour of Uglich — the beauty of the nature of the Volga region and the grandeur of ancient sights.
Guided tour of the territory of the Uglich Kremlin, the historical and urban core of the city:
Tsarevich Dimitri's chambers ("chambers of the Uglich appanage princes") is the only building preserved from the foundation of the Kremlin (XV century).;
the Church of Dmitry on the Blood, built on the site of the death of Tsarevich Dmitry. Inside are murals by artists of the late 18th century describing this event in detail;
The Transfiguration Cathedral is the cathedral of the city of Uglich.

Guided tour of the Rostov Kremlin (inspection of the architectural ensemble).
Sightseeing: Assumption Cathedral (XVI century) with a unique belfry, which has a fully preserved set of 15 bells, Bishop's Courtyard, Cathedral Square.
Russian Honey Factory in Rostov Veliky with the program "History and taste of ancient Russian drinks".

Many thanks to “Big Country” for this wonderful tour. The entire trip was organized exceptionally well: the hotels, meals, and transportation were all excellent. But the real highlight of the journey was our tour guide, Denis!!! Honestly, without him the trip would not have been nearly as memorable. Visiting so many churches and historical sites without meaningful context would have quickly become monotonous. Most of the local guides simply rushed through the program with dry facts and dates, almost like a school lecture. Denis, however, made everything come alive. Even before we arrived at each destination, he was already sharing fascinating stories and background information on the bus, which helped us appreciate the places so much more once we got there. Not a single person was late for the bus in the mornings! Everyone was eager not to miss his stories!!! He has an incredible knowledge of the history and geography of the region, and he could make even the scenery outside the window interesting!!! Listening to him never felt tiring because he spoke with such enthusiasm and passion!!! For the last two days we had a different guide, and the contrast was huge - unfortunately, it just wasn’t engaging at all. To sum it up: excellent organization, comfortable travel conditions, and an outstanding guide like Denis made this trip truly special!!! I only wish there were more professionals like him.

I really enjoyed the trip. I learned a lot more about my country and its history, and visited many historic cities and monasteries. It’s an experience I will remember for a long time.
