Sightseeing of the 12th century:
The Golden Gate (architecture) is a symbol of the greatness and power of Ancient Russia.
Dmitrievsky Cathedral is a monument of Vladimir–Suzdal architecture of the pre-Mongol period.
The Assumption Cathedral is a masterpiece of white stone architecture. It is a unique treasure trove of Russian church art. It preserves paintings of the XII-XIX centuries. The famous frescoes of the icon painter Andrei Rublev.
On request, for an additional fee: The Museum of Crystal and Glass of the XVIII-XXI centuries or the exposition "Old Vladimir" in a 4-storey tower in 1912. (tells about the city of the late XIX century – early XX century.).
Transfer to Bogolyubovo village.
Excursion to the Bogolyubovsky monastery.
On the territory of the palace-castle of Andrei Bogolyubsky (the only civil building of Ancient Russia that has survived at least partially), an excursion to one of the oldest Russian monasteries on the Vladimir land – Bogolyubovsky Monastery: the chambers of Prince Andrew, the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin (architecture).
Church of the Intercession on the Nerl (architecture) – according to weather conditions (the road to the church is on foot, not intended for vehicles. Day 3 - Yaroslavl and Kostroma

A visit to the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery is called the Kremlin due to its fortified walls.
The main cathedral of the monastery has preserved the original paintings, it is the oldest extant temple in Yaroslavl. A handwritten list of the masterpiece of ancient Russian literature "The Word about Igor's Regiment" was discovered here.

Sightseeing tour of Kostroma, the most beautiful city on the Volga, one of the pearls of the Golden Ring.

The ancient merchant city, which has preserved to this day the original appearance of the architectural ensemble of the XVIII century, will open the veil of mystery of its unique history.

Kostroma is the cradle of the Romanov dynasty. It was in the Ipatievsky monastery of Kostroma that Mikhail Fedorovich Romanov hid from the disgrace of Godunov.
Ipatievsky Monastery is the main symbol of Kostroma.
Inspection of the territory of the recreated Kostroma Kremlin, where the miraculous icon of the Fedorovskaya Mother of God is kept in the Epiphany Cathedral.
It was written around 1239 and glorified by great miracles and healings. This is the most ancient work of iconography in Kostroma. The icon has long been revered as the defender of the city and the guardian of the Romanov family.

Day 4 - Rostov Veliky, Pereslavl-Zalessky and Sergiev Posad

Transfer to Izborsk.
Izborsk is one of the oldest Russian cities, first mentioned in the chronicle under the year 862. "From here the Russian Land went," and Russian statehood was born here.
For centuries, the ancient city defended the northwestern borders, played a primary role in preserving the Orthodox faith and the independence of the Russian state.

One of the main attractions of Izborsk is the fortress on Mount Zheravye, which was built in the 14th century and has survived to the present day in relatively good condition.
It is from this fortress that Izborsk is believed to have begun its existence: for many centuries the fortress defended the western borders of the country.
