Itinerary

Day 1 - Murmansk, festive banquet and New Year's Eve
12:00 Meeting with the group at the airport.
Transfer to Murmansk (30 km).
Big bus sightseeing tour of Murmansk.
You will get acquainted with the largest city beyond the Arctic Circle, a city located on the picturesque rocky eastern coast of the Kola Bay of the Barents Sea.
Murmansk does not have a so-called historical center, but all urban life is concentrated around the Five Corners Square, this part of the city is a harmonious ensemble of buildings from the second half of the 20th century.
You will visit the main square of the city — the Five Corners Square, where all the main administrative buildings are located, drive along the main street of the city — Lenin Avenue, see the famous Nuclear icebreaker Lenin, then go to Lake Semenovsky, on the shore of which the Church of the Savior on the Waters is located, a monument to anti-aircraft gunners, a monument to residents of the military Monument to the Defenders of the Soviet Arctic "Alyosha" in Murmansk.
Lunch at a cafe in the city with dishes of northern cuisine.
After 18:00 Check-in at the Park Inn Hotel/Lights of Murmansk.
Free time, preparing for the New Year's Eve.
22:00 Festive banquet and New Year's Eve celebration in the banquet hall of the Park Inn Hotel (extra charge).

Day 2 - Teriberka
Breakfast at the hotel for those staying at the hotel according to the program.
09:00 Meeting with the group at the hotel.
Transfer to the village of Teriberka.
It is unforgettable to celebrate the first day of this year in Teriberka.
The magical beauty of these places fascinates any traveler.
The road is deserted and runs through a very picturesque area, comparable to the harsh nature of Norway.
Every stop is a great pleasure.: Here we will see tundra vegetation, huge boulders, many rivers and lakes surrounded by hills.
Excursion to the waterfall, stone beach "dragon eggs" (snowmobile ride to the starting point of the tour from December to April, if there is a stable snow cover).
A trip to the northern fairy tale, where old ships dream of the past, a waterfall sparkles with frozen ice, and a beach made of "dragon eggs" impresses with its scope.
Mystical seid stones silently keep thousands of years of secrets, and unique and amazing landscapes are revealed to the eye!
Lunch of traditional cuisine in the restaurant.
Free time.
Return to Murmansk.
Transfer to the hotels according to the program.
22:30 Departure for the Northern Lights hunt.

Day 3 - Sami village
Breakfast at the hotel for those staying in hotels according to the program.
Room release.
Transfer to the Sami village.
Excursion to the Sami village.
The Sami, or Lapps, are an indigenous people of the Murmansk region, as well as northern Norway, Sweden and Finland.
In our country, the only place where you can get acquainted with the culture and way of life of the Sami is the Kola Peninsula.
Along the way, we will learn about the economy, everyday life, traditional crafts of the Sami, about their experience of survival in the Arctic climate, about holidays, rituals, symbols, myths, fairy tales of the Sami people, about the sacred places of the Kola Peninsula, ancient rock art and writing, as well as about modern Sami life.
Tour of the village.
We will have a traditional welcome, a walk through the village and get acquainted with the Sami way of life, reindeer sledding and feeding reindeer, socializing with huskies, rabbits and other animals, tea drinking with sweets in a plague, folk games and fun.
Lunch in a Sami village – rustic chicken soup, non-alcoholic Sami drink pakula, black tea, lovozersky bread, hot fish with marinade and side dish, whitefish salad.
15:00 Transfer to the center of Murmansk.
Free time.
18:00 Transfer to Murmansk airport.

I'm so glad I chose the 'Across the Expanses of Perm the Great' tour in July 2024. It was a high-quality, engaging, and thoughtfully designed journey through the entire Perm region. The trip was full of fascinating discoveries: ancient monasteries, unique museums, the distinctive Permian animal style and wooden deities, the history of salt production and the Stroganovs in the Urals, and much more. The natural beauty of Parma was breathtaking: dense forests, countless rivers, mountains, and even an ice cave. The hotels were comfortable, and the breakfasts and lunches were tasty, often featuring elements of local cuisine. Traveling in a small group made the experience even more enjoyable, after all, it's usually seasoned travelers who venture to the Perm region. One special moment was when we all got to bake and taste traditional gingerbread made from an old recipe, for many of us, it was a first. Huge thanks to our amazing guide, Andrey, and to Venaris, our incredibly skilled driver!
