Itinerary

Day 1 - Murmansk — Imandra. Hiking along the Goltsovka mountain river
We leave Murmansk at 10:12 to the Imandra station by rail on train No. 21.
Arrival at Imandra station at 12:50.
From the Imandra station, we will walk along the Goltsovka mountain river to the intersection with the Chasnaok River and make our first overnight stop.
The height difference is only 200 meters, but even here it is already clear that we are in the mountains.

Day 2 - Meridian Creek — Yumyekorr Gorge
After a well-deserved rest and a delicious breakfast, we'll be on our way.
Today our route lies to the mouth of the Meridialny stream to the Yumyekorr gorge.
The gorge is also called the gorge of the dead, and this is due to a long-standing Sami legend.
After crossing the gorge, we will descend into the forest area to the picturesque Zvezdochka gorge.
The place is very popular, so today we will definitely meet other tourists.

Day 3 - Aku-Aku — Imandra Gorge
After resting and walking along the nearby hills, we will pack up our camp and move towards the Imandra station along the most famous gorge in the Aku-Aku Huts.
Translated, it means "the beginning of the beginning" or "mother earth".
We will enjoy the stone sculptures that surround us from all sides and go out into the valley of the Goltsovka River.
We'll camp next to her for the night.

Day 4 - Departure
Transfer to Imandra station.
Slowly packing up, we will reach the railway station and head by train No. 22 towards the city of Murmansk.
The train departs at 18:40 and arrives in Murmansk at 21:21.

It's important to know

The base layer is thermal underwear (thin running and warm for sleeping — 2 sets).
The intermediate layer is a fleece jacket, exclude wool (thin fleece jacket for movement / thick for parking).
A membrane jacket or an analog (windbreaker, waterproof).
Pants are windproof or made of a membrane (ideal if the pants are a designer and turn into shorts).
Socks — preferably trekking and/ or other with similar properties (foot retention, moisture removal) — 2-3 pairs.
Shoes — trekking boots, preferably high ones. Please note! Shoes must be worn (not boots).
Rubber slates for the camp (crocs, sandals and other outdoor shoes are also perfect).
Headdress (buff trumpet, bandana, beanie, cap).
Sunglasses, thin light gloves (in case of sunny weather, the most common "working" cotton gloves are suitable).
Tableware: mug, spoon, bowl, flask or water bottle.
Backpack for 70-80 liters.
Personal hygiene products, wet wipes, toiletries.
If desired, you can take trekking poles.
Swimming trunks or a swimsuit — for taking water treatments + a towel (trekking and/or waffle).

Description of the tourist route (route option): Day 1: from the Imandra station to the Goltsovka River, along the Goltsovka River upstream to the parking lot on the Meridional stream. Day 2: b/w Yumyekorr gorge to Zvezdochka gorge. Day 3: Lake. Izumrudnoe — Aku-Aku Gorge — up to the Goltsovka River. Day 4: downstream of the Goltsovka River — to the Imandra station.

The maximum height difference on the tourist route is 832 meters.

Description of the obstacles on the tourist route: Yumyekorr Gorge – 1 km/ s - Obstacle characteristics: Movement on sand, pebbles, grass, rocks and scree without insurance, the length of the path in the canyon (or along the pinch) is more than 200 m. The height of 690 m. The top of Khibinpahchorr is 1 km/s. The characteristic of the obstacle is at least 300 m of elevation difference, movement is hindered by scree, vegetation, and light rocks. The height of 832 m Aku-Aku Gorge - 1 km/ s is an obstacle characteristic: Movement on sand, pebbles, grass, rocks and scree without insurance, the length of the path in the canyon (or along the pinch) is more than 200 m. The height is 610 m.
