08:30 Start of the tour. You will be picked up from the hotel.
09:00 We leave the city of Murmansk and drive by car to the Titovka River (2 hours, 105 km).
The Titovka River is a beautiful northern winding river that turns downstream into Titovka Bay and flows into Motovsky Bay (Barents Sea).
The banks of the river are rocky upstream, and sandy closer to the lip. Since ancient times, people have settled here and engaged in fishing.
We have lunch (picnic on the riverbank), change into dry suits, life jackets, go through a briefing and go sea kayaking along the Titovka River with access to Titovka Bay, visit Titovsky Island with a rich history.
The island was home to the now-defunct settlement of Titovka, an island founded in 1883. This place was used by Russian fishermen, as well as Sami from the Motovsky cemetery, who were engaged in fishing for cod and herring.
Also in the 19th century, a fish processing factory and a fish oil furnace were located on the island, and during World War II, a reconnaissance group of the 100th NKVD border detachment Titovka Island was stationed on the island.
Here, while kayaking, you can pick up a sea urchin with your hand, see a submarine in Motovsky Bay, and in good weather, walk to the skeleton of a whale!
On our walk we use single and double sea kayaks.
We return to the starting point and check into the cottages of the campsite "Studenyi Bereg".
We have dinner on the riverbank in the field — a picnic (dinner is possible in the restaurant of the campsite for an additional fee — 4700 rubles).
A sauna is available at the campsite (for an additional fee of 10,000 rubles per hour for up to 6 people).
