Itinerary

Day 1 - Snowmobile route to the northern part of Khibiny
It is more convenient to arrive on the route either by train (arrives in the morning before 09:00), or arrive the day before on a direct flight to Khibiny airport. In this case, you will need an extra night in a hotel in Kirovsk.
Meeting of participants at the railway station in Apatity.
Breakfast at the cafe.
Briefing, snowmobile driving training, acquaintance with guides.
Snowmobile start in the direction of the hotel Cuelporr (northern part of Khibiny).
Lunch at the hotel.
Snowmobile route through several mountain passes. The best opportunity to get great snowmobile driving practice.
Supper.
Accommodation for 2-3 people in a room with amenities in the room.
The daily snowmobile ride is 60-70 km.

Day 2 - Snowmobile start in the direction of Lake. Umbozero
Breakfast.
Start on snowmobiles in the direction of Lake. Umbozero.
Lunch on the shore of the lake with a view of the Lovozersky tundra mountain range.
After lunch, a high-speed section on the ice of the lake, and then through a system of lakes, frozen marshes, through the forest to Lake Lovozero.
On the way, we enjoy the fluffy snow, the view of the mountains from different angles, and of course we work hard – we get stuck, dig, and help each other.
Overnight at the Yulinskaya Salma Guest house (all amenities).
With good visibility, observations of the evening aurora borealis.
Accommodation for 2-4 people in a room.
The snowmobile day trip is 110 km.

Day 3 - Route through the central part of the Kola Peninsula
Breakfast.
Start to the east.
The route passes through the untouched landscapes of the central part of the Kola Peninsula.
While driving, you may encounter wild animals.
In case of favorable weather conditions, the route passes through the Keyva ridge and the Semiostrovye reindeer herding brigade, in case of bad weather along the Krasnoshchelsky winter reserve.
Part of the route passes through open forest tundra, part through frozen lakes and swamps, and part through a beautiful pine forest.
Arrival in Krasnoshchelye village, sauna, dinner of local delicacies – venison, moose, wonderful homemade bread.
Day snowmobile ride 180 km through Caves or 145 km along the winter road.

Day 4 - Krasnoshchelye
Late breakfast.
Sightseeing of the village, visiting the museum.
A fishing trip or, in agreement with the group, to an iconic scenic spot called the Flying Stone.
Return to the village.
Lunch, sauna.
The program of this day can be slightly changed, for example, lunch can be made as on normal days — field.
The daily snowmobile run is 30-70 km.

Day 5 - Crossing the Arctic Circle
Breakfast.
Departure along the Krasnoshchelye – Varzuga route.
The route of this day crosses the Varzuga River twice, as well as the Arctic Circle.
The main landscape of this day's journey is forest and swamps.
There is no winter road between Varzuga and Krasnoshchel, so a significant part of the way goes through virgin snow.
Fishing for large perch on Lake Sergozero.
Overnight in the ancient Pomeranian village of Varzuga in a hotel.
Dinner and rest.
A day trip of 130 km on snowmobiles.

Day 6 - Varzuga Village Tour
Breakfast.
Varzuga village tour, sightseeing of the famous Varzuga churches.
A snowmobile trip to the mouth of the Varzuga River – an inspection of the ancient village of Kuzomen, a ceremonial trip to the ice of the White Sea.
Return to Varzuga.
Lunch, the end of the route – transfer to Kandalaksha railway station (250 km) or to Kirovsk or Murmansk airport (480 km). Transfer to Murmansk Airport is charged separately.
The day trip is 40 km by snowmobile.

The Kuelporr Hotel is located in the north of Khibiny in a picturesque valley on the banks of the Kuniyok River.

In winter, the guest house can be reached by snowmobile or skiing. The Kuelporr Guest House is a modern one–storey building with an attic.

2-bed rooms with amenities (shower, toilet, equipment dryer) in the room.

6-bed rooms (shower, toilet on the floor).

There is a mobile connection. Internet is available for an additional fee.

Another option

Varzuga

A small, cozy hotel located on the central square of the village of Varzuga, offers 12 triple rooms with amenities. From some rooms you can see the Assumption Church, the pearl in the crown of Terek architecture. The hotel also has an equipped kitchen-dining room, which operates on the principle of self-service. Products can be purchased in shops within walking distance. The river is a 5–minute walk away.

Next to the hotel there is a steep staircase leading to the top of the hill to the school – from here you can enjoy a fascinating view of the entire village, which stretches along both banks of the river.

It's important to know

Snowmobile expedition clothing:

T-shirts, underwear, cotton socks;
thermal underwear made of thin polartek;
sweatpants made of thick polartek (fleece), a sweatshirt made of thick fleece, preferably with a "neck" or a hoodie or a thick sweater;
a down sweater (thin single-layer down jacket) under a jumpsuit or a down jacket on top of a jumpsuit in case of severe cold weather. You can use a ski jacket or a jumpsuit.;
sweatpants for staying in guest houses;
thick wool socks 2 pairs, one pair of thermal socks, also thick;
ski gloves + fleece gloves;
ski hat, if available – own balaclava, if not – provided;
the scarf is warm, if there is a windproof mask on the face. The balaclavas provided by the organizers cover your face well from the cold, but we recommend that you have additional protection.;
down mountaineering slippers (highly recommended), rubber slippers for the bath, a personal bath towel, are provided in almost all guest houses, but it is advisable to have your own;
if you know that your lower back is stiffening, then take something warming with you (scarf, shawl);
personal hygiene kit (brush, paste, etc.);
cold cream for the face;
personal first aid kit (if there is a need for special medicines);
ski mask – worn on top of a helmet (the combination of helmet and ski mask is most optimal for long-distance snowmobiling);
sunglasses;
A small (up to 30 liters) backpack helps keep your back warm, and you can also put small items you need on the road in it.;
You can take your own small thermos flasks for tea.;
chocolates, nuts, and sweets are also often not superfluous.

Please note! Glasses are not allowed on the route – they immediately sweat and freeze. Use contact lenses or special ski goggles with diopters. The organizers will not be able to provide such equipment.
