New Year's Eve tour with the Northern Lights and whales

We invite you to extend the New Year holidays and go on an adventure beyond the Arctic circle, where truly magical emotions await you!

We will visit the Sami — the indigenous inhabitants of the Kola Peninsula, try their national dishes and feed the deer, get acquainted with the Arctic cuisine and hunt for the northern lights.

We will turn our face to the wind, sledding with huskies and deer, and find the place where Leviathan was filmed, and also take a boat trip along the Barents Sea and swing on a swing on the shore. The holidays are going to be exciting!

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Murmansk and acquaintance with the Sami family

    We will meet at Murmansk airport (we can also pick you up from the city center) and go to the real Sami in the village of Loparskaya.

    The Sami are the indigenous inhabitants of the Kola Peninsula. They have been living here for centuries and are engaged in reindeer husbandry, passing on traditions from generation to generation. Reindeer are like family members to them. We will go to visit a hospitable Sami family, where you can pet and feed reindeer with moss, as well as taste Sami cuisine.

    Then we will stay in the cozy Arctic Home hotel, we will arrange an acquaintance in our secluded hotel for a culinary master class, where we will begin our immersion in the atmosphere of the North. We will learn how to cook Arctic cuisine from local products. Over a festive dinner, we will take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the northern nature and real winter.

    There is a great chance to see the Northern Lights on any day of the tour. The guide will monitor the geomagnetic activity index — the higher it is, the more likely it is to shine.

    The total travel time by minibus is 1-1.5 hours.

    We will see:

    • the hero city of Murmansk;
    • the Sami village of Loparskaya;
    • reindeer

    Let's try:

    • dishes from Sami cuisine;
    • pet and feed reindeer with reindeer moss;
    • prepare dishes of Arctic cuisine.
