Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Start of the route, excursion to the waterfall

    We leave Murmansk at 09:00 for the Kandalaksha district. 

    Upon arrival, we set up camp, assemble catamarans, and have lunch.

    After lunch, we start rafting from the bridge over the Kolvica River to the campsite for beginners. 

    A briefing is conducted before the rafting.

    After trying the catamarans, we will go on an excursion to the waterfall and the village of Kolvica.

    It offers a magnificent view of the Kolvitsky Bay and the village.

    Overnight on the banks of the picturesque Kolvica river.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour

During catamaran rafting, we pack all our belongings in hermetic bags (80-100 liters), so things should be only the most necessary and compact. We put them in bags without bags and backpacks (they can be left in the transfer car or folded separately). 

1. Parking equipment:

  • a mat and a sleeping bag (comfort 0C and below) – if your own. If not, then the equipment is included in the price.;
  • tent. If not, then the equipment is included in the price.;
  • the tourist seat;
  • personal tableware (KLMN) is not bulky, ideally it is collapsible. If not, then the equipment is included in the price. 

2. Clothes and shoes:

  • a set of thermal underwear – it's more comfortable to sleep in warm cotton, you may also need a hat, warm comfortable socks (or fleece socks);
  • jacket or windproof/rainproof, splash-proof jacket. Under the jacket, we wear either a fleece jacket or an insulating layer made of another synthetic material. You can also wear the same waterproof trousers with synthetic thermal underwear underneath. Splash-proof jacket and trousers can be rented from us.;
  • dry (drysuit) or neoprene wetsuit. If it's neoprene, then ideally up to 3 mm. A top layer must also be put on top of the neoprene;
  • neoprene gloves and sneakers. If you don't have them, we'll give them to you.;
  • It is worth taking a synthetic quick-drying cap with you.;
  • headdress (cap, panama hat, beanie);
  • membrane jacket or poncho;
  • membrane trousers, or quick-drying;
  • thermal underwear;
  • T-shirt;
  • "fleece" or jacket;
  • a warm jacket (or a set of second warm thermal underwear for a membrane jacket);
  • trekking socks 1 pair, regular socks 2-3 pairs, 1 pair warm;
  • next door;
  • gloves;
  • comfortable shoes;
  • the hat is warm;
  • lingerie;
  • swimsuit 

3. Other:

  • sunglasses;
  • personal hygiene products;
  • camping towel;
  • sunscreen;
  • hygienic lipstick;
  • mosquito and midge repellents;
  • charger (power bank);
  • a bag for your phone;
  • water bottle;
  • Special equipment;
  • head lamp (for August-September);
  • the camera is hermetically packed or with an underwater box (optional);
  • fishing rods;
  • a personal small first–aid kit (personal medicines, antipruritic drugs, Band-Aids, activated charcoal, enzymes - it all depends on the characteristics of your body, which you probably know). In addition to a personal first-aid kit, there will be a group one, but it won't hurt to have your own. 
  • hand cream;

4. Documents (in a waterproof box or case!):

  • a copy of your passport and a photo on your phone, or with you in your waterproof packaging;
  • medical insurance policy;
  • money for unexpected expenses.
