You will get acquainted with the amazing nature of Russian Lapland, observing the Aurora borealis, communicating with reindeer, dog sledding, visiting the sacred lake Seydozero, a sauna with swimming in the snow, national Sami cuisine.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Kirovsk — Umbozersky pass, Lake Umbozero, Lake Lovozero

    Meeting guests by minibus in Apatity, transfer to our snowmobile base in Kirovsk (30 minutes), breakfast at a cafe on the way.

    Equipment, instruction on driving snowmobiles.

    Departure along the route: Kirovsk — Umbozersky pass, Lake Umbozero, Lake Lovozero.

    On this day, participants will have to overcome the passes of the Khibiny mountain range, drive through a fabulous forest and systems of frozen lakes. No traces of civilization along the way. 

    Accommodation at the Yulinskaya Salma guest house, dinner. 

    The daily route is about 130 km.

The cost of the tour (1 person on a snowmobile) is 88,000 rubles/person.

Age restrictions: from the age of 12 as a passenger, from the age of 18 at the wheel.

Guest house Yulinskaya Salma is a comfortable house with all amenities, accommodation for 2-3 people in a room, bathrooms on the floor. 

The hotel is homely, delicious homemade food, friendly staff, excellent sauna. There is a mobile connection (Megafon and MTS).

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour
  • T-shirts, underwear, cotton socks;
  • Thermal underwear made of thin polartek;
  • Sweatpants made of thick polartek (fleece), a sweatshirt made of thick fleece, preferably with a "throat" or a sweatshirt or a thick sweater;
  • A down sweater (thin single-layer down jacket) under a jumpsuit or a normal down jacket on top of a jumpsuit in case of severe cold weather. You can use a ski jacket or a jumpsuit;
  • Sweatpants for staying in guest houses;
  • Thick wool socks 2 pairs, one pair of thermal socks, also thick;
  • Ski gloves + fleece gloves;
  • Ski cap, if there is – your balaclava, if not – we provide;
  • The scarf is warm, if there is a windproof mask on the face. The balaclavas provided by the organizers cover the face well from the cold, but we recommend having additional protection;
  • Downy climbing slippers (highly recommended), rubber slippers for the bath, a personal bath towel (almost everywhere in guest houses they provide, but it is advisable to have your own;
  • If you know that your lower back is stiffening, then take with you something warming like a scarf, shawl;
  • Personal hygiene kit (brush, paste, etc.);
  • Cold face cream;
  • Personal first aid kit (if there is a need for special medicines);
  • Ski mask - worn on top of the helmet (the combination of helmet and ski mask is most optimal for long-distance snowmobile trips);
  • Sunglasses;
  • A small (up to 30 liters) shoulder backpack helps to keep your back warm, in addition, you can put small items you need on the road in it;
  • Some participants of our tours recommend taking their own small thermoses for tea, it happens that someone does not have enough to drink on the route;
  • Chocolates, nuts, sweets are also often not superfluous.

Items must be packed in a bag or backpack, or in a trunk with a volume of no more than 60 liters. Suitcases are prohibited.

Equipment provided:

  • A jumpsuit made of thick fabric with a single-layer sintepon lining;
  • 2 balaclavas – thin and thick;
  • helmet with a double-glazed visor - if you have a large head, focus our attention on this;
  • snowmobile boots with felt liner;
  • mittens with fur of the "fur coat" type in case of very severe cold weather.
