Flight to Manpupuner (Komi Republic). The flight duration is about 2 hours.
Arrival and boarding at the helicopter pad of the Pechora-Ilych Reserve on the Manpupuner plateau.
An official one-day permit is issued for each group.
After the full stop of the board, the helicopter waits for the group at the landing site for 1.5 hours.
Upon arrival of the group at the Dolt Plateau, an excursion part is provided, including:
- inspection of weathering stone pillars;
- informational and educational lecture;
- the active part of the movement to the pillars (about 1 km from the helipad);
- photo shoots and video shooting.
Movement through the territory in order to inspect stone idols is regulated and is carried out only along paths made of crushed stone specially equipped by the reserve.
From here, the nearby mountain ranges of the Main Ural Range are clearly visible.
The view of the mountain peak of the Pecherya-talakh-chakhl ridge is very picturesque.
The time spent on the Manpupuner plateau is limited — no more than 1.5 hours.
At the end of the tour, return to the helicopter and rest in the gazebo at the hut of the rangers — workers of the biosphere reserve.
On the plateau, a light lunch is provided for the group, pre-prepared by the chef, including sandwiches, homemade snacks and taiga herbal tea.
After the end of the tour and a snack, the group is boarded for further flight south along the mountainous part of the Ural ridge to Dyatlov Pass.
Through the porthole window you can see another business card of the Northern Urals — the mountain Otorten, at the foot of which is located the purest mountain lake Lunthusaptur (lane "Lake of the lonely goose").
There is an ancient legend that during the flood in this lake at a high altitude, a single goose escaped, which according to Finno-Ugric mythology is the ancestor of all life on Earth.
Helicopter landing at Dyatlov Pass in the hollow of the Kholat-Chakhl ridge (Mountain of the Dead / Dead Mountain), where, according to legend, nine Mansi hunters died.
A group of UPI students led by Igor Dyatlov died at the same place (February 1959).
The approximate flight distance is 80 km (30 minutes).
The excursion part includes a photo session at the memorial stele, a detailed acquaintance with several versions of the tragic death of tourists: from a banal avalanche to tests of secret weapons and infrasound natural phenomena.
The guide informs the tour participants about the location of the tent and tells in detail a number of interesting facts about the history of searches and subsequent expeditions to the area.
The time spent by the board in standby mode at the foot of the Kholatchakhl ridge is 0.5—1 hour.
After a short rest, boarding a helicopter is organized, and we leave the landing site.
The duration of the final part of the flight is about 2 hours.
Arrival at the civilization at around 16:00-17:00 hours.
