• A master class on writing with goose feathers.

The goose feather was used by scribes most often, as it was convenient to prey (goose is a domestic bird). In addition to him, however, they also painted ravens, pelicans, peacocks, ostriches, and swans with feathers.

At the master class, you will learn how to prepare a pen for writing, how long one quill pen was enough, and learn how to write with a quill pen yourself.

• A master class on writing on birch bark.

You will master writing on birch bark, the peculiarities of writing words in the Middle Ages, and try to decipher Old Russian funny texts.

• A master class on spinning on an old spinning wheel.

A wooden spinning wheel is an obligatory subject of peasant life.

Spinning and weaving were carried out from October to March, that is, all the time when there is no field work. They tried to brighten up the hard monotonous work by getting together for "supryadki".

They invited guys, sang, and listened to stories. Sometimes there were games and dances after work.

You will see everything and understand what the spinning wheel consists of, what it was made of, how it worked.

• A master class on kindling kindling.

What was the world like in the old days? At the end of the 18th century and even at the beginning of the 19th century, poets and writers often wrote at Luchin. In winter or early spring, the sun set early, the evening enveloped the villages very quickly. They lit a splinter and wrote.

We will do everything possible and impossible to get tickets to Tolstoy's house, but we also reserve the right to conduct only a sightseeing tour of the territory with interactive in the coachman's hut.

The tour is intended for those who come to Yasnaya Polyana for the first time or want to refresh their impressions of a long-standing visit to the museum.

The group examines the central part of the Yasnaya Polyana estate, the house of L. N. Tolstoy, where most of the writer's life was spent, and an exhibition in the Kuzminsky Wing dedicated to the beginning of Tolstoy's creative activity.

The group will be told about sports games in the Tolstoy family, the first school in the Kuzminsky Wing, and L. N. Tolstoy's economic activities.

Being on the border of several Yasnaya Polyana forests, tourists will learn about their history, reflection in Tolstoy's work, and hear about why one of them became the burial place of the writer.
