Itinerary

Day 1 - Vasilevo manor tour. A brief introduction to Torzhok. The beginning of exploring the city of Tver
07:00 Departure from St. Petersburg to Torzhok. Highway tour, everyday stops.
Transfer to Vasilevo.
Vasilevo manor tour. The Vaselov Architectural and Ethnographic Museum was established in 1976 on the territory of the former manor house, founded at the end of the XVIII century by the Lviv noblemen.
A two-storey wing (a rebuilt greenhouse) and a unique hydraulic engineering system have survived from the estate. The architect N. A. Lvov (1753-1803), a distant relative of the estate's owners, was the creator of the architectural and park complex.
His idea is a cascade system of ponds, as well as a magnificent "stone symphony" – a hundred–meter arch bridge with two grotto aviaries.
The vast territory of the museum-reserve has a complex relief, cut by small parallel-flowing streams with a dam, boulder and wooden bridges.
Transfer to Torzhok.

A brief introduction to Torzhok: a panorama of the city, the Traveling Palace built under Catherine II, the Transfiguration Cathedral, Pushkin Square with a monument to the poet, architectural masterpieces of the XVIII century by N. A. Lviv with the only monument to the architect in Russia, a pedestrian bridge over Tvertsa.

Excursion to the Tver Imperial Palace. Tver Imperial Palace is an outstanding monument of Russian architecture, built for Empress Catherine II.
The "Tver princess" lived in this palace, as the daughter of Paul I and Alexander I's sister, Princess Catherine, were called. Now the palace has been beautifully restored.
Departure to Staritsa, one of the oldest Russian cities, which, despite its long and turbulent history, has managed to preserve its original appearance in many features.
