  • Day 1 - Vyshny Volochek

    07:30 Departure from St. Petersburg from Moskovskaya metro station, Demonstration passage (behind the monument to V. I. Lenin). Everyday stops. Travel information.

    Sightseeing tour of Vyshny Volochok with a visit to the Kazan Convent.

    Vyshny Volochyok is a county town that resembles St. Petersburg in the perspective of avenues and main streets, aligned as if on a ruler, as well as a solid facade.

    The city is famous for the Vyshnevolotsk water system during the reign of Peter the Great, which, with the help of a chain of canals, locks and reservoirs, opened transit traffic between Tsna and Tvertsa and thus between Moscow and St. Petersburg.

    The city has served as a stop between the capitals for centuries, and it's not for nothing that Alexander Radishchev dedicated an entire chapter to Volochok, "Travels from St. Petersburg to Moscow."

    One of the main attractions of the city visited during the tour is the Kazan Convent, where the miraculous appearance of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God took place in the middle of the XVIII century.

The country hotel "Svetlitsa" is located in the village of the same name in the Ostashkovsky district, in the Tver region. For accommodation, guests are offered rooms of the Comfort and Luxury categories in the hotel, as well as detached two-storey cottages with all amenities.

Parking is provided for the parking of a personal vehicle. Gazebos with barbecue areas are located on the territory, where those who wish to barbecue.

The huge lake Seliger has a favorable pastime. You can swim in the pond, and sunbathe on the green shore, breathing in the clean pine air.
