Itinerary

Day 1 - Ustyuzhna, visit to the "Blacksmithing workshops" and the village of Danilovskoye
Arrival in Cherepovets before 09:00.
Meeting with the guide at the railway station building no earlier than 08:30-09:00.
09:00 Transfer to Ustyuzhna (130 km) with travel information.
11:00 Excursion to the Museum of Local Lore, located in the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin, where guests will get acquainted with the documentary confirmation of the fact of the fraud auditor's stay in the city, visit a unique part of the temple with an iconostasis of the 17th century.
12:00 Sightseeing walking tour of the city "Although small in size, it is famous throughout Russia" will take place in the ancient center of Ustyuzhna with a tour of the Shopping and Cathedral Squares, magnificent city mansions and will end with a visit to the Church of the Kazan Mother of God. During the tour, guests will learn the history of the Ustyuzha region, the oldest center of iron ore mining and blacksmithing, and hear the legend of the prototype of the provincial city described by N.V.Gogol in the comedy "The Inspector".
13:30 Lunch.
14:15 Visit to the "Blacksmithing workshops" with an excursion and a master class in artistic forging. The fame of the skill of the Ustyuzha blacksmiths spread to many cities of the Russian state. The XVII century was a period of large government orders for the manufacture of cannons, cannonballs, and sapper tools for the army.
15:00 Transfer to the museum-estate of the Batyushkovs-A.I.Kuprin – to the village of Danilovskoye.
15:30 Visit to the ancestral home of the Batyushkov family, shrouded in legends and the creative spirit of the Russian poet K.N. Batyushkov and writer A.I. Kuprin.
16:30 Return to Cherepovets (130 km).
18:30 Check-in at the hotel. Free time. Overnight stay.
Day 2 - Cherepovets, the Severstal Museum and the Galsky Manor Historical and Art Museum
Breakfast at the hotel. Room release. Meeting with the guide at the hotel.
09:00 City tour "Welcome to Cherepovets!". During the tour you will visit the most important sights of Cherepovets: the ancient Cathedral Hill, Sovetsky Prospekt with its ancient merchant buildings of the XIX – early XX centuries. You will see the first stone building of the city – the Resurrection Cathedral, walk along Milyutin Square, where a monument to the famous Cherepovets mayor is installed, walk along Metallurgov Square, where in a cozy square you can make a wish by holding the hand of a sculpture of a bronze boy (monument "Continuity of Generations" in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Cherepovets Metallurgical Combine).
11:00 Guided visit to the Museum of the metallurgical industry of the Severstal enterprise, the expositions of which, designed using modern technologies, tell about the history of metallurgy. The halls are equipped with interactive screens, electronic stands, audiovisual installations created on the basis of unique photo and video archives, documents and artifacts.
13:00 Lunch at a cafe in the city.
14:00 Excursion to the Vereshchagin family House Museum. The most famous were the Vereshchagin brothers: Nikolai Vasilyevich, the founder of industrial dairy production in Russia, and Vasily Vasilyevich, the world-famous Russian artist. The house presents authentic works of the artist, reproductions of his famous paintings in the collections of museums around the world, photographs and documents.
15:00 Excursion to the Galsky Manor Historical and Art Museum - a monument of architecture and culture of the early 19th century, the estate of the Galsky noble family, who were called "local Yusupovs" for their economy and enterprise. A magnificent house, which contains the belongings of several noble families, a flower garden, a stable.
16:00 Transfer to Vologda (140 km).
18:00 Accommodation at the selected hotel according to the passport. Free time. Overnight stay.
Day 3 - Vologda, Lace Museum and Semyonkovo Architectural and Ethnographic Museum
Breakfast at the hotel.

10:00 City tour "Lace Line" – tourists will travel along an imaginary line, plunging into the legendary past of the provincial capital with ancient white-stone cathedrals and temples, the majestic Vologda Kremlin complex, the picturesque Vologda River embankment. Inspection of wooden mansions with "carved palisades".
12:00 Excursion to the unique Lace Museum dedicated to the history of the development of the traditional Vologda craft and the world history of lace weaving.
13:00 A visit to the salon-shop of the lace company "Snowflake" with a wide range of products with Vologda lace from home textiles to original jewelry will provide an opportunity for those who wish to try their hand at lace weaving – to weave the simplest element on a training pillow under the guidance of a master.
14:00 Lunch "Vologda-style" in a cafe / restaurant in the city, the menu of which includes dishes of authentic Northern cuisine, fragrant tea with northern pastries. During lunch, guests will be offered a tasting of the famous Vologda butter.
15:30 A visit to the architectural and ethnographic museum "Semenkovo" (12 km) will begin with an excursion through the territory of the restored village of the late 19th - early 20th centuries with an inspection of peasant huts and acquaintance with the origins of life, culture and spirituality of the Slavs of the Russian North. Continue with participation in one of the interactive programs or a master class (the program depends on the capabilities of the museum).
17:00 Transfer to the hotel.
Free time to visit the store under the brand "Real Vologda product", where you can buy products made of flax, wood and birch bark, jewelry "Severnaya Chernya", the famous Vologda butter, meat and dairy products, sweets, alcoholic beverages and much more.

Day 4 - Kirillov and Ferapontovo

11:00 Visit to the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery: sightseeing tour of the territory of the "sovereign fortress" of Ivan the Terrible with architectural monuments of the XV-XVIII centuries. Photo shoot on the shore of Lake Siversky in the summer.
13:00 Lunch.
14:30 Visit to the Ferapontov Monastery: a sightseeing tour of the monastery territory of the XV-XVII centuries, a visit to the Church of St. Peter the Great. Martinianus of Belozersk, a visit to the exposition "The History of the Ferapontov Monastery" in the Refectory, an inspection of the porch of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary with a portal painting by Dionysius.

14:30 Interactive program "Rus epic". Meeting of the group with a guide in ancient Russian costume, acquaintance with the history of the Snowdrifts. The costume program in the "Princely Gridnitsa" will gather in the grand chamber of the prince's court for the council of the prince and his retinue.
Guests will learn about the costumes and charms of Russian soldiers, gold-woven decoration, "forged lace" of Ancient Russia. The master of the medieval forge will introduce you to the secrets of blacksmithing and help you forge a simple souvenir. The Viking Longhouse will reveal the secrets of the lifestyle of Scandinavian warriors of the 9th-10th centuries.
