The route is a trekking along mountain trails, which does not require the use of special skills, but it requires good physical fitness.

We do not recommend traveling this route for people who need constant medical supervision.

It is possible for children from the age of 12 to participate, but only accompanied by adults. From the age of 16, you can travel independently.

We do not recommend this route to beginners, that is, to those tourists who have not gone hiking before. For the first hike, it is better to choose simpler routes. 

Foreign citizens need to apply for a pass to Ust-Koksinsky district. It is issued for free, you need a scanned passport (photo page), as well as an address and phone number. It is necessary to apply for a pass no later than 30 days before the date of entry of the tourist.

On the way from Novosibirsk / Barnaul / Gorno-Altaysk before the start of the active part of the route and back, self-catering at road catering points.

Upon arrival in the village of Ust-Koksa, three meals a day are served in a summer cafe on the territory of the tourist complex.

For those who leave for Novosibirsk and Barnaul the next day after the end of the route, meals are not provided at their own expense.

On the route, meals are prepared by the guide: breakfast and dinner are served in the field kitchen, lunch is a dry ration.

In the field, food is cooked over a campfire, a primus stove, or a gas burner. In a mountain campsite on Ak-Kem – on a gas stove.

The food is light in weight and high in calories.

Tourists are only voluntarily involved in cooking, but also participate in collecting firewood.

The menu includes canned meat, fish, green peas, corn, beans, butter, cereals, pasta, cheese, sausage, lard, vegetables, fruits, cream, raisins, dried apricots, nuts, chocolate, tea, coffee, cocoa, condensed milk, sweets, biscuits, bread, crackers, biscuits.

During the hikes there is an opportunity to collect mushrooms and berries.

Safety instructions are provided by a tour guide. On the route, tourists are accompanied by 1-2 guides.

It is recommended for every tourist to have the necessary medicines in the field, in a personal first-aid kit there should be:

• elastic bandage,
• corn patches,
• bandage,
• iodine,
• Balsam Lifesaver,
• antipruritic remedies,
• painkillers,
• cardiac and gastric drugs.

The price of the route includes insurance for the branch of Rosgosstrakh LLC in the Altai Territory, branch address: Barnaul, Proletarskaya str., 65, tel. (3852) 379400. The insurance ensures that rescue operations are carried out using a helicopter if necessary. 

An insurance policy is being issued, and the cost for tourists under 65 is 1,665 rubles.

If the tourist is over 65 years old, then the surcharge is based on the age coefficient.

You can purchase additional travel insurance on the website of a Large Country without commission directly from insurance companies.

Tourists traveling on the route should be vaccinated against tick-borne encephalitis.

To prevent a tick bite, you should follow the following rules:

1. When going for a walk in the woods or on an excursion, it is necessary to dress in such a way as to reduce the possibility of ticks penetrating under clothing. Clothing should fit snugly to the body, preferably with elastic cuffs on the arms and legs of the trousers. It is easier to notice a tick on plain clothes.
2. Remember that the most mites are in the grass, so it is better to choose dry open places with sandy soil for recreation. It is not recommended to bring freshly picked flowers or branches from the forest.
3. Every 15 minutes you need to do a superficial examination of clothes, and every 2 hours – a full body examination.

Pack horses are used to transport group equipment (tents, tents, campfire equipment) and food along the route, starting from the third day (the first day of hiking). 

They accompany the group to Lake Ak-kem (day 4). 

You carry only your personal belongings and a sleeping bag (6-10 kg) in your backpacks. On the 5th and 6th days of the program, you will have radial exits from the base camp on Lake Ak-Kem – light. 

If desired, you can order an additional horse for carrying personal belongings. The cost of one horse starts from 2500 rubles per day (it is necessary to pay for six days – 3 days to Lake Ak-Kem + 3 days to return the horses). 

One horse carries up to 40 kg of cargo. Horse breeder services are added to the horse rental (2500 rubles Day), one horse breeder can lead up to 4 horses at a time. 

The route program can be changed only for objective reasons (weather conditions, recommendations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations).

At the end of the route, you have the opportunity to relax at the recreation center. Before going to the mountains, you can reserve a comfortable accommodation for yourself. 

There is also a luggage storage at the base, where you can leave things that you won't need in the mountains.

Additionally, you can book horse riding and rafting on the Koksa River at the tourist complex in the village of Ust-Koksa (1st, 9th, 10th days of the route). 

The sauna services can be used on the 1st,4,5,6,8,9,10- the 1st day of the program.

Air and railway tickets are not included in the price of the tour. You can purchase them yourself or contact us for help.

Children under 14 years old receive a 10% discount.

The most important thing is that the dog does not cause discomfort to other participants. The food is provided by the owner. He also makes sure that the pet does not spoil the equipment. 

Small animals can run around tents in the mountains at night, and the owner must monitor the animal's reaction.

Also, on routes where there are pack horses, it is necessary that the dog does not bark or frighten the horses. The owner is responsible for the upbringing of the dog.
