The Multin Lakes. Hiking to Altai

A shuttle service is organized to the starting point of the route and back (not included in the tour price and paid separately, promotions and discounts on transfers do not apply).

Transfer to c. Ust-Koksa is sent to:

• from Novosibirsk at 20:00 on the eve of the tour (local time, MSK+4). The place of departure is ul. Sovetskaya street, 65;
• from Barnaul at 23:50 on the eve of the tour (local time, MSK+4). The place of departure is the restaurant and hotel complex "Oblepikha" (Novoaltaysk, Dorozhnaya str., 13);
• from Gorno-Altaysk (airport) at 11:00 on the day the tour starts.

Transfer from S. Ust-Koksa is sent to:

• to Novosibirsk / Barnaul (Novoaltaysk) on the 10th day (following the end of the active part of the route) at 18:00 (local time, MSK+4). Approximate arrival: in Novosibirsk – 08:00, in Barnaul (Novoaltaysk) – 04:00.
• to Gorno-Altaysk at 15:00 on the 9th day (the day of the end of the active part of the tour) (local time, MSK+4). Arrival in Gorno-Altaysk at 21:00 at the hotel in Mima (the cost of the hotel starts from 500 rubles/person). Gorno-Altaisk Airport is closed until 05:00.

You can come by yourself in your own car, there is a guarded Parking lot.

The route is trekking along mountain trails, which does not require the use of special skills, but good physical training is necessary for its passage.

We do not recommend traveling this route to people who need constant medical supervision.

It is possible for children from the age of 10 to participate, but only accompanied by adults, from the age of 16 you can travel independently.

Foreign citizens need to apply for a pass to Ust-Koksinsky district. It is issued free of charge, you need a scan of your passport (photo page), as well as an address and phone number. It is necessary to apply for a pass no later than 30 days before the date of entry of the tourist.

• Additionally, you can book at the tourist complex in Ust-Koksa: horseback riding, rafting on the Koksa River (1st, 9th, 10th days of the route). 
• The sauna services can be used on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 9th days of the program.
• The route is a trekking along mountain trails, which does not require the use of special skills, and requires average physical fitness to complete it. We do not recommend traveling this route for people who need constant medical supervision.
• It is possible for children from the age of 10 to participate, but only accompanied by adults. From the age of 16, you can travel independently.
• Stallion horses are used to transport group equipment (tents, awnings, campfire equipment) and food to Nizhny Multin Lake and Lake Kuyguk on the second and fifth days of the route. You carry only your personal belongings and a sleeping bag (6-10 kg) in your backpacks. On the third and fourth days, you will have light radial exits from the base camp. On the 6th and 7th day, you will have a radial exit with an overnight stay on a high-altitude plateau to storm Mount Kolban, while each tourist will have to additionally carry food (about 1 kg) and tents. All the things that you will not need to climb Kolban can be left at the base camp on Lake Kuyguk. It is not possible to use horses on this section of the route. And on the 8th day, we descend down the trail to the village of Multa-Maralnik. You can additionally rent a horse for carrying your personal belongings (2nd and 5th day), the cost of renting one horse per day is 2500 rubles, horse breeder services are 2500 rubles per day. 
• The route program can be changed only for objective reasons (weather conditions, recommendations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations)
• Free WI-FI on the territory of the Altair tourist complex in Ust-Koksa village (1st and 10th days of the route).

Upon arrival in the village of Ust-Koksa - three meals a day in a summer cafe at the railway station in the village of Ust-Koksa. 

On the route, the guide prepares meals: breakfast and dinner - field kitchen, lunch – dry rations. 

In the field, food is cooked on a campfire, a primus stove or a gas burner.

The food is light in weight and high in calories. Tourists are only involved in cooking on their own, but participate in collecting firewood. 

The menu includes canned meat, fish, green peas, corn, beans, butter, cereals, pasta, cheese, sausage, lard, vegetables, fruits, dry cream, raisins, dried apricots, nuts, chocolate, tea, coffee, cocoa, condensed milk, sweets, biscuits, bread, crackers, biscuits. During the hikes, there is an opportunity to fish (you need to have fishing equipment with you), collect mushrooms, berries.

Safety instructions are provided by a tour guide. On the route, tourists are accompanied by 1-2 guide guides.

It is recommended that every tourist have the necessary medicines in field conditions, in a personal first-aid kit there should be:

• elastic bandage,
• corn patches,
• bandage,
• iodine,
• Balsam Lifesaver,
• antipruritic remedies,
• painkillers,
• cardiac and gastric preparations.

The cost of the route includes medical insurance and accident insurance on the active part: MS-450000, SNC-50000, on the inactive part MS-150000, NSN-50000.

Age up to 65 years. If the tourist is over 65 years old, then the surcharge is based on the age coefficient.

It is advisable for tourists traveling on the route to be vaccinated against tick-borne encephalitis.

To prevent a tick bite, the following rules should be followed:

1. When going for a walk in the forest or on an excursion, it is necessary to dress in such a way as to reduce the possibility of ticks penetrating under clothes. Clothes should fit snugly to the body, preferably with elastic cuffs on the arms and on the legs of the trousers. It is easier to notice a tick on plain clothes.
2. Remember that most of the ticks are in the grass, so it is better to choose dry open places with sandy soil for recreation. It is not recommended to bring freshly picked flowers and branches from the forest.
3. A superficial examination of clothes should be done every 15 minutes, and a full body examination every 2 hours.

Children under 14 years old receive a 10% discount.

Daytime temperatures can be around 25-30 degrees, nighttime temperatures can drop to +15-+10 degrees. Plus, the weather changes very quickly in the mountains.

To climb to the top of Kolban, you will need a windproof jacket, with a hood, there is an open area, snow and wind.

For the second year in a row, it snows on the 20th of June, and this is after 20 degrees Celsius in May, so sometimes a down jacket is needed even in summer. In July, a warm jacket is enough, and a fleece lining is possible under the bottom.

The most important thing is that the dog does not cause discomfort to other participants. The host provides the food. He also makes sure that the pet does not spoil the equipment. 

Small animals can run around the tents at night in the mountains, the owner must monitor the animal's reaction.

Also, on routes where there are pack horses, it is necessary that the dog does not bark and does not scare the horses. The owner is responsible for the upbringing of the dog.

Transportation: provided depending on the number of tourists in the group: car, minibus, bus. The camping cargo is transported together with the group. The bus departs on schedule, so do not be late to the pick-up point. The road passes through 4 mountain passes. There may be delays due to weather and road conditions. The bus arrival time is approximate! On the way to Ust-Koksa there are difficult sections of the road surface (gravel), dusting of luggage is possible. We recommend that you pack your luggage in a protective case/bag in advance to protect your luggage from road dust. (with a distinctive sign, so as not to confuse).
