A strong lake, separated by one of the spurs of the mountain range, is located outside the Katunsky Reserve in a little-visited place. The road here is not paved with horses, it does not have to face numerous groups of tourists. The lake is located at an altitude of 1933 meters above sea level. On three sides, the lake is surrounded by steep cliffs, with sparse forest, and a waterfall breaks off on the fourth side of the lake. Next to it there are four more lakes, which together with Strong form a natural complex – Strong lakes.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Gathering of the group in Ust-Koksa village
Departure from Gorno-Altaysk (airport) at 11:00 to Ust-Koksa (transfer is paid separately).
Arrival of a bus from Novosibirsk to Ust-Koksa/Barnaul at 10:00 (transfer is not included in the price, see the Important to know section).
Lunch at the cafe.
Arrival in Ust-Koksa by bus from Gorno-Altaysk at 17:00 (lunch on the way at your own expense).
The road passes along the famous Chui tract among the rocky ridges of the Altai Mountains, then along the Kansk steppe to the Uymon Valley.

Day 2 - Ascent along the Krepkaya River to the Krepkoe Lake
At 9:00 am after breakfast, departure from the base to Gaz 66.
Ascent to the Multin lakes.
Then go along the valley of the Krepkaya River to the parking lot at the Krepkaya Lake.
Meals: breakfast in a cafe, lunch, dinner – camp kitchen.
by car – 60 km, on foot + pack horses – 10 km.
Day 3 - Radial exit to the Children's pass (1A) and the lake of Nice girls
The exit to the right side of the valley is Strong.
It is possible to climb one of the peaks of the ridge or descend to the Nice Girls Lake.
Food: 3 meals a day, camping kitchen.
Walking distance is 14 km.

Day 4 - Day off, reserve day
It is possible to walk in the surroundings, to the waterfall and around the lake.
Food: 3 meals a day, camping kitchen.
Walking distance is 6 km.
Day 5 - Transfer to the valley of the Proezdnaya River
Today we are waiting for an interesting crossing over the pass "Perevalny" 2751 m (1A).
Food: 3 meals a day, camping kitchen.

Day 8 - Descent to the village of Multa-Maralnik
Forcing the Multa river to ford.
Descent along the Multa river with the intersection of the rivers: Kuyguk, Second and Black rivers.
Moving to c. Ust-Koksa.
A festive dinner.
Food: breakfast, lunch, camping kitchen, dinner in a cafe.

Day 9 - The village of Verkhny Uymon. Departure to Gorno-Altaysk
In the morning, equipment delivery and an excursion to the village of Verkhny Uymon - one of the oldest villages in the Ust-Koksinsky district.
The village was founded by Old Believers about 300 years ago.
There are two museums in the village: the N.K. Roerich Museum of Local Lore and the Museum of Old Believers.
Lunch.
Departure to Gorno-Altaysk at 15:00.
Arrival in Gorno-Altaysk at 21.00.
Hotel accommodation (on your own) Recommended hotels: "Beloved" (S. Maima), "Igman" (Gorno-Altaysk). Transfer to the airport on your own. Taxi Maxim +7 (38822) 2-44-44 (Estimated cost 300 rubles).
