The heart of the ridge is the multi–headed mountain Uch-Enmek, surrounded by a scattering of amazing beauty of lakes, which stretches its spurs for several kilometers, mysterious and unlike any other peak in Altai.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Gathering of the group in Ust-Cox
Departure from Novosibirsk at 20:00 on the eve of the start of the tour (August 2). The place of departure is ul. 65 Sovetskaya Street (local time, + 4 hours difference from Moscow).
Departure from Barnaul (Novoaltaysk) at 23:50 on the eve of the start of the tour (August 2). The place of departure is the restaurant and hotel complex "Oblepikha" (Altai Territory, Novoaltaysk city district, Novoaltaysk, Dorozhnaya str., 13).
Meals on the road are at your own expense.
Departure from Gorno-Altaisk (airport) at 11:00 to Ust-Koksa (on the day of the start of the tour on August 3).
Arrival of a bus from Novosibirsk to Ust-Koksa/Barnaul at 10:00.
Lunch at the cafe.
Arrival in Ust-Koksa by bus from Gorno-Altaysk at 17:00 (lunch on the way at your own expense).
The transfer is not included in the price, it is paid additionally.
The road passes along the famous Chui tract among the rocky ridges of the Altai Mountains, then along the Kansk steppe to the Uymon Valley.

Day 2 - Ascent to the upper reaches of the Bolshaya Terekta
Moving Ust-Koksa – der. Terekta.

Ascent to the upper reaches of the Bolshaya Terekta.

The path follows a picturesque path along the river among thickets of raspberries and black currants.

A snack on the riverbank at a wooden bridge overgrown with grass, overnight in a cozy clearing in the town of Happy Log.

Food: breakfast in the cafe, lunch, dinner – camp kitchen.

Length: by car – 24 km, on foot, packhorses – 16 km.

Day 3 - Crossing to the foot of Ilgumen
We continue to move to the sources of the Bolshaya Terekta river.

After a simple ford and a snack by the river, it is necessary to overcome the Ilgumen pass (2306) and go down to the sources of the Baijera River.

On the way to the pass, Lake Terektinskoye and the town of Ilgumen (2618) are visible.

In good weather, the outlines of Uchemdek, the highest on the Terektinskaya ridge, are also visible on the rise.

Day 4 - Radial exit to the city of Ilgumen
The path begins with an ascent to the pass into the valley of the Katyrgar river (2229), then a little further up to the top of 2522, one of the Ilgumen lakes and the city of Ilgumen in all its glory are visible here.

Let's get closer to see both lakes and call our loved ones (Beeline connection, Megafon).

From here, there is a little more than one and a half kilometers of travel and about 170 m of easy climb to the top of Ilgumen (2618).

After climbing to the top of Ilgumen, descend to the camp through the Ilgumen pass along the already familiar road.

Day 5 - The transition to the upper reaches of the river.
A wide trampled path leads down the picturesque valley of the Baijera River and after a simple ford is replaced by a barely noticeable path that gradually goes into the very thicket of the forest.

Here you need to get through thickets and windbreaks with almost no path to the river Magi, along which there is an old shepherd's road.

After entering the shepherd's road, it remains only to climb along the river to the forest border.

Overnight in a clearing under the pass.

Day 6 - Transfer to the valley of the Chernaya Terekta River
A walk to the foot of the cityUch-Enmek.
The day begins with an ascent to the already familiar pass.
After a snack at the pass, it remains only to go down into the valley and set up camp.
In clear weather, from the pass and on the descent, you can see the highest mountain of Altai and all of Siberia – Belukha.
Food: 3 meals a day, camping kitchen.
Length: on foot, pack horses – 9 km + 12 km.

Day 7 - Radial walk along the ridge
A day's rest.
A radial walk along the ridge separating the valleys of the Tikhaya and Yamanushka rivers.
Here you can take a look at the entire past and future path from above, standing at the top to enjoy the view of the beautiful lakes that are hidden in mountain hollows, feel cut off from the whole world, go down to Lake Yamanushka and plunge into it to wash away the fatigue accumulated during the hike.

Day 8 - Return to Ust-Koksa
Descent along the Chernaya Terekta river through a picturesque valley to the already familiar old bridge.
Along the river you can see stone remnants, somewhat reminiscent of the famous Lena pillars.
After a snack at the bridge and a descent along the Bolshaya Terekta river to the village of Terekta along a familiar road – car delivery to Ust-Koksa.
Arrival at the tourist complex.
Accommodation in tents on the territory of the tourist complex.
A farewell party.
Food: breakfast, lunch – camp kitchen, dinner in a cafe.

Day 9 - Excursion to the village of Verkhny Uymon. Departure
In the morning, equipment delivery and an excursion to the village of Verkhny Uymon – one of the oldest villages in the Ust-Koksinsky district.
The village was founded by Old Believers about 300 years ago.
There are two museums in the village: the N.K. Roerich Museum of Local Lore and the Museum of Old Believers.
Lunch.
Meals included: breakfast, lunch.
Departure to Gorno-Altaysk at 15:00, arrival at 21:00.
Departure to Novosibirsk/Barnaul (Novoaltaysk) the next day on 08/12.25 at 18:00.
Approximate arrival in Barnaul (Novoaltaysk) is on 26.07 at 04:00 (local time, difference with Moscow +4 hours), in Novosibirsk – on 26.07 at 08:00 (local time, difference with Moscow +4 hours).
The transfer is not included in the price, meals at the end of the tour and during the transfer on your own.
