Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Novosibirsk – the city of Gorno-Altaisk – village of Chibit

    Our trip will start at 06.30 in Novosibirsk. 

    On the way, if necessary, we will pick up part of the group in Gorno-Altaisk. 

    We are going to the village of Chibit, which is located in the heart of the Chui tract in the middle of the Altai Mountains. 

    On the way, we will stop at a roadside cafe for lunch (not included in the price), and also see the confluence of the Chuya and Katun rivers. 

    In the evening we will arrive in the village of Chibit, from where our walking route will begin. 

    We will stop at the recreation center in tents.

  • Day 2 - Chibit – R.Oroy

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour

Equipment:

  • sleeping bag (comfort 0 or -3);
  • travel mat;
  • trekking poles (with clips of ClickLock or FlickLock systems);
  • backpack 65-85 l with a rigid back and a good wide waist belt;
  • backpack 15-30L (lightweight) for radial exits;
  • a cape for a backpack from the rain;
  • hoba (tourist seat);
  • airtight bags (lightweight) to keep things dry.

Clothing and shoes:

  • trekking boots (ankle is fixed, thick sole) (wear out for 7-10 days before hiking!);
  • sandals (with a fixed heel) or EVA galoshes;
  • membrane jacket from 10000/10000 (if the jacket is over 1 year old, we treat it with a waterproof impregnation!);
  • pants are wind and moisture proof;
  • lightweight down jacket or jacket (insulated vest) weight about 400g;
  • fleece hat, buff, panama hat/cap;
  • insulated jacket (fleece);
  • T-shirt or long sleeve shirt;
  • 1-2 T-shirts (synthetic ones are better, running ones are suitable);
  • synthetic T-shirt (running) with wide shoulders under the straps of a backpack;
  • trekking socks (3-4 pairs, synthetic) + warm trekking socks 1 pair No.
  • lightweight running pants;
  • shorts;
  • underwear;
  • a set of moisture-wicking thermal underwear;

What else to take:

  • 2 liters of breadcrumbs, take instead of bread (you can put it in a tetrapack of juice of 1 or 2 liters.);
  • plate, spoon, mug (not ceramic), knife, matches;
  • personal first aid kit, in case of chronic diseases (the instructor will have a public first aid kit with a standard set of medicines) + elastic bandage, sterile bandage - 2 pcs., hydrogen peroxide, a wide tissue-based roll patch;
  • personal hygiene products (toothpaste, brush, soap, toilet paper 1 roll, biodegradable shampoo (preferably solid), accessories for girls, etc.);
  • absorbent towel (light and quick-drying);
  • water bottle 0.5-0.7l.;
  • sunglasses that do not transmit ultraviolet light;
  • sunscreen SPF 20-30;
  • flashlight (preferably a headlamp) + battery pack;
  • pocket snacks (nuts, dried fruits, bars);

Documents:

  • passport;
  • n/a insurance policy;
  • money for souvenirs and additional expenses;

Additionally (optional):

  • Thermos (0.5 -1 liter) optional, lightweight!
  • gaiters / "lanterns" (worn over boots);
  • bathing accessories;
  • sports isotonics for breeding in water;
  • camera (video camera);
  • lipstick is hygienic;
  • a 5-10m rope with a diameter of 5 mm (for drying clothes, repairs).
