Itinerary

Day 1 - The Tazheran steppes. Olkhon. Shamanka Rock
9:30 Meeting at Irkutsk airport, meeting with the group.
Let's start our trip to Lake Baikal!
Today we will take jeeps to Olkhon Island (280 km. from Irkutsk).
On the way, we will stop for lunch at a cafe and taste Buryat cuisine.
After lunch, adventures await us – we will go to the Tajeran steppes, an amazing place with mountains, caves and even rock carvings.
Here we will see the stunning beauty of Lake Baikal for the first time!
We will climb to the peaks to take panoramic photos and descend into the secluded coves.
After driving through the Tajeran steppes, we will arrive at the ferry crossing to cross to the island.
In the evening, arrival in the village of Khuzhir, check-in at the hotel.
At the end of our eventful day, we will take a walk to the famous Shamanka Rock, which is considered one of the places of power on Lake Baikal.
We have dinner and share our first impressions.

Day 2 - Northern Olkhon. Kayaking among the ice floes
After breakfast, we will have a guided tour of the northern part of the island.
We will see how a huge lake wakes up and gradually frees itself from the ice.
It is a unique and fascinating sight to follow the retreating ice of Lake Baikal and observe the awakening of nature!
Huge ice floes, loud—voiced birds, transparent sky and the purest Baikal water around - it's unforgettable!
Feel the incredible power and energy that the ancient lake holds.
Perhaps you will find inspiration and answers to many questions here.
After lunch, we will return to the village in the fresh air, take a walk and relax a little.
In the evening, we will have another exciting activity — kayaking and snowboarding among the Baikal ice floes!

Day 3 - A trip to the southeastern part of the island of Olkhon
After breakfast, we set off on a trip to the southeastern part of the island.
We will drive through the steppe part of Olkhon Island, stop at secluded bays and observation decks with panoramic views of Lake Baikal.
You will see how diverse and vast the nature of the island is in the middle of Lake Baikal.
We will make a stop at the rock complex, which has been named "Trident".
We'll have a picnic lunch outdoors to enjoy the silence and stunning views.
After lunch, we will arrive at the ferry, where a minibus will be waiting for us for transfer to Irkutsk.
Arrival in Irkutsk, accommodation at the hotel.
Meals included: breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner.

Today we are finishing our little trip.

The organization of the tour was excellent from start to finish. Everything was handled smoothly and professionally, from the airport pickup and transfers to the island crossing, hotel check-in, and departures for excursions. Everything ran right on schedule. The hotel was warm, clean, and comfortable, and the food was very good throughout the trip. I really enjoyed the itinerary overall. The only part that felt a bit challenging was the trip to Cape Three Brothers. The drive there in the UAZ vans was quite long, and by the end of the day everyone was understandably tired from being on the road. A special thank-you goes to the drivers, who did a fantastic job and even provided us with hot lunches during the excursions. I would also like to thank our guide, Oksana, for her engaging stories, professionalism, and genuine care for the group. Overall, I came away with a very positive impression of the trip. Thank you, and I wish you continued success!
