Day 1 - The beginning of the journey. The road to Olkhon
After arriving in Irkutsk, your Baikal journey will begin.
After gathering the group, you will set off towards the most popular place on Lake Baikal – Olkhon Island.
Olkhon is a truly unforgettable and one of the most famous places on Lake Baikal, which is rightfully called a place of power and especially powerful energy!
Olkhon is considered a sacred territory, a concentration of shamanism in Central Asia.
There will be a stop at the Golden Horde Ethnic Park on the way.
Here you will get acquainted with the ethnocultural identity of the indigenous population of Lake Baikal, and you will be presented with an exciting program.
The road to Olkhon will run along a comfortable highway surrounded by beautiful scenic nature.
Olkhon is an island, and it is accessed via a ferry crossing.
Your way to the ferry crossing will be along the "Martian Road", as our guests often say about the Tajeran steppes.
These are kilometers of expanse, in some places picturesquely decorated with rocky remnants, where the road winds like a snake between hills and hills.
After crossing to the island, you will find a road to the center of Olkhon – the village of Khuzhir, where you will check into a recreation center.
In the evening, you will have free time to spend exploring the surroundings of the village.
Within walking distance is the calling card of Lake Baikal, the most popular, recognizable and at the same time energetically strong location – Cape Burkhan, Shamanka rock.
We will go for a walk there at sunset – the rays of the setting sun color the waters of Lake Baikal with burning shades.
It's an incredibly beautiful and enjoyable sight and pastime!
This is where the first day of the trip comes to an end.
You will have a rest before tomorrow's active and eventful day!
You will see: The Tajeran steppes, the ferry crossing, the road through the steppes of the south of Olkhon, Cape Burkhan, Shamanka Rock, the Golden Horde Ethnic Park.

Day 2 - Excursion to Cape Khoboy
Today you will immerse yourself even more in the atmosphere of Olkhon Island.
After breakfast, you will go on an excursion to the picturesque part of the island – to the north, to Cape Khoboy.
The cape is located in the very north of the island.
Its name translates from the language of the local population as "fang", and indeed, the rocky steep shores in these places resemble animal fangs.
And together with the amazingly blue water surface, they create beautiful vivid natural paintings.
Being near the edge of the cape, Lake Baikal seems endless, its grandeur and vastness are felt!
You will also visit Cape Lyubov (or Cape Shunte-Levy).
Locals say that childless couples used to come to the cape, and after rituals and prayers, they would soon have children.
It is believed that the cape has not lost its magical power to this day.
The cape is distinguished by the characteristic shapes of the rocks, and the views from there are fascinating!
In addition, as part of the tour, you will capture Cape Sagan-Khushun (or "Three Brothers"), a sheer cliff of snow–white marble.
The beautiful legend of the three brothers is associated with this cape – they will definitely tell it to you, and being there, listening to the legend, you feel like a participant or at least a witness of the events described.
After that, you will travel further along the island: there are picturesque steppes around and suddenly an almost eight–meter-high bronze sculpture in the form of an unusual tree appears before your eyes - this is the creation of the famous sculptor Dasha Namdakov "Keeper of Lake Baikal", his gift to Lake Baikal.
The sculpture is located at some distance from the roads, on a hill.
It looks extremely authentic and majestic!
In the middle of the day, you will refresh yourself by eating a fragrant lunch against the backdrop of the beautiful Baikal nature!
The tour takes place with stops in the most beautiful places where you can take wonderful photos for memory.
After returning to the hotel, the evening can be devoted to horseback riding (it is necessary to book in advance before departure to Olkhon), rest.
You will see: Cape Sagan-Khushun, Cape Lyubov, Cape Sagan-Khushun, Cape Khoboy, sculpture by Dasha Namdakov "Keeper of Lake Baikal".

Day 3 - Free day on Olkhon Island
This day is completely free of excursions.
You can take another walk to the sacred cape Burkhan, along the Sarai beach, buy souvenirs or just sunbathe on the shore, ride horses (you must inform about your desire in advance before leaving for Olkhon).
You will also have the opportunity to visit the Olkhon Museum of Local Lore – it is located in the center of Khuzhir.
This museum has fully preserved the spirit of history, it features more than 7,000 exhibits distributed in different directions, many of which are unique and are represented only in this museum.
A visit to this museum will be an informative way to spend time: you will learn the history of the fish factory, supported by objects from those times, see interior items from past centuries, and so on.
*If you wish, you can complement your unforgettable trip to Olkhon and add a tour of the south of the island. You will visit places such as Lake Khankoy, the Rock Garden, a lonely birch tree, and the sunniest part of the island, Khalzany Falls. Day 4 - Boat trip to the islands of the Small Sea, Ogoy area
Today will add an interesting and exciting boat trip to the islands of the Small Sea of Lake Baikal to your piggy bank of new impressions.
Baikal is divided into two parts – the Big Sea and the Small Sea.
The Small Sea is a part of Lake Baikal, conditionally separated from the Big Sea by the island of Olkhon.
Incredibly picturesque places and a number of islands are hidden there.
The tour starts at 10:00 and lasts until 14:30 (local time).
Let's tell you in order!
Ogoy Island is the largest island in the Small Sea of Lake Baikal.
Ogoy is uninhabited, but attracts tourists with a religious building – the Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment stands on it.
The Stupa of Enlightenment was built in 2005 and has been a constant tourist attraction ever since.
It is believed that if you make a wish and walk around the stupa three times, it will certainly come true.
In addition, the island offers a wonderful view of Lake Baikal and the neighboring shores.
Zamogoy Island is located 7.5 km north of Nagoya.
It has an oval shape measuring 1 km by 0.5 km.
This is the second largest and most mysterious island of the Small Sea, which differs from other islands in its amazing fate.
People do not disembark on it, ships do not dock.
Now the island is uninhabited, and it is very interesting to look at it from the water.
Very often, during summer excursions, you can meet seals there, endemic to Lake Baikal, basking in the sun.
In the middle of the tour, you will disembark on the mainland to visit the sacred springs of Surkhaite.
In fact, there is only one source, but it was once divided by a shaman into two branches – female and male.
An interesting fact is that the taste of water from different sources varies, and it has healing properties.
The springs are located in a picturesque location, hidden in the shade of trees, which are 1.5 km away, and can be reached on foot or by local transport for an additional fee.
There is an opportunity to have lunch on the mainland (not included in the price), and then we will go back to Olkhon Island.
The tour will end with a return to Khuzhir.
You will see: O. Ogoy, O. Zamogoy, holy springs, Stupa of Enlightenment.

The cost of accommodation depends on the chosen comfort level:

Standard – a comfortable room equipped with a private bathroom (shower and toilet), with a number of beds according to the number of residents;

Baikal Mini-hotel

It is located on the island of Olkhon in the picturesque area of the village of Khuzhir, 150 m from Lake Baikal. Due to the excellent location of the hotel, the most significant attractions of the island are within walking distance for tourists – Shamanka Rock and Sarai beach, as well as all the necessary infrastructure: cafes, shops, souvenir shops, etc.

The rooms are decorated in a rustic style and offer views of Lake Baikal, the beach and the coniferous forest. It offers a cafe with panoramic lake views and free Wi-Fi. The accommodation offers 2-bed Standard rooms (with shower and toilet in the room) and 2-3-bed Economy rooms (shower and toilet on the floor for 4 rooms).

Olkhon Island is reached by ice crossing in the winter season and by ferry in the summer.
