Excursion to the islands of the Small Sea, starting at 10.00, duration – up to 14:30 hours.
As part of the tour, you will learn about three islands of the Small Sea.
The Small Sea is a part of Lake Baikal, conditionally separated from the Big Sea by the island of Olkhon. There are incredibly picturesque places and a number of islands hidden there, which are called places of power and sources of spiritual energy. Being there, you feel a surge of strength and the energy of the place pulsating in the air.
Ogoy Island is the largest island in the Small Sea, 3 km long. The most frequently photographed and recognizable place on the island is the sacred Buddhist stupa. Many people come to Lake Baikal just for the sake of visiting this place to purify themselves and recharge their spiritual energy. And there is also a belief that if you walk around the stupa 3 times and make a wish, it comes true.
Zamogoy Island is the second largest and most mysterious island of the Small Sea, which differs from other islands in its amazing fate. People do not land on it, ships do not dock. For a long time in the past, people with leprosy moved here. Now the island is uninhabited, and it is very interesting to look at it from the water.
In the middle of the tour, you will disembark on the mainland to visit the sacred springs of Surhaite.
In fact, there is one source, but it was once divided by a shaman into two sleeves – female and male.
An interesting fact is that the taste of water from different sources varies, and has healing properties.
The springs are located in a picturesque location, hidden in the shade of trees.
There will be lunch on the mainland (not included in the price), and then we will go back to Olkhon Island.
The tour will end with a return to Khuzhir.
Included in the price: accommodation, breakfast, excursion, group transfer (boat), permission to visit the national park.
